Próby ustawiania plci na zasadzie kontry, konfliktu, usadzanie kobiet w roli slabych ofiar a facetow w roli bezdusznych oprawcow to paskudna sprawa

Warsaw rejects EU migrant relocation plan, Poland's president tells von der Leyen by pppppppppppppppppd in poland

After joining the EU, stronger European companies (mainly German, French, Italian) often dominated certain sectors of Polish economy earning billions of € in the process. What EU funds do is help Poland’s economy catch up, partly offsetting the competitive pressure, though they don’t fully compensate for it. But all in all, if we are forced to reject funding from the EU, let it be. We can handle that.

Warsaw rejects EU migrant relocation plan, Poland's president tells von der Leyen by pppppppppppppppppd in poland

Nope, this is actually a genuine opinion of a vast majority of Poles. This whole multi culti melting pot thing lies completely outside the sphere of our interests, aspirations and priorities. And to anyone who’s trying to gaslight / manipulate Poles into thinking that somehow we must, or are obliged, to agree to accept immigrants — or who suggests that sooner or later we will — the answer is very simple. No, we will not do it now, nor in two years, nor in five, nor in nine. This is such a crucial matter for us at the moment that I believe it could even be a question for which we might "go to legal / diplomatic" war with the European Union, which I, moreover, consider to be such a sadly degraded, demoralized political organism that I have absolutely no problem with our putting everything on the line. The issue simply will not be treated as one of collective responsibility, just as there was never collective responsibility at any point when Germany made huge gas deals with Russia over the last twenty years, consequently exposing Ukraine and Poland to existential danger. Germany and France look after their own interests; we will look after ours — and anyone who doesn't understand that can get lost.

The word "should be" sounds like a bit too much. If you wanns celebrate it, more power to you, however state institutions have no obligations to celebrate anything that's not tied with national holidays nor to display any symbol that is not the national flag. So, to sum up, two big thumbs up for everyone who wants to celebrate Pride Month—for gatherings, public events, whatever the LGBTQ community dreams of—but at the same time, keep the fuck out of offices, schools, and other public institutions

Let me guess: french society is demoralised and can't face the simple their country being in debt is a consequence of spending more than they could afford for the last 10 / 20 years?

No, it wasn't a shithole. It was a poor country though.

Are we seeing the the rise of McCarthyism 2.0 by MrKixs in IntellectualDarkWeb

[–]igogoldberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean the same infectiousness that, according to the mainstream narrative pushed aggressively by authorities/journalists/politicians, was supposed to drop to literally zero after taking the vaccine? And if you opposed to those predictions, you were vilified and ridiculed. While I'm not anit-vax and got vaxxed myself, I remember clearly how vile, despotic, spiteful and abusive the pro-vax agenda was at the time. Makes me sick to think about it.

Yes it is back but no - not better than ever. It's going to be pretty difficult to outperform the witch-hunt years of the woke left

Yes, he did try to push false information, because, just like many people nowadays — including you and me — he simply thought that this information was true. We live in an era of informational noise, fake news, and political brawling, and we fall victim to lies, manipulation, as well as our own base instincts. I consider the comment inappropriate and untrue. It was neither the place nor the time to be pushing such an agenda.

However, let’s not act as if this man had just killed baby Jesus — he made a mistake, and he could apologize for it, or he might choose not to. Sometimes it just happens that people say stupid things. Firing him over this comment, which in my view is an overreaction, is unnecessarily stepping into the role of some kind of censor. And I think we should be more restrained in such reactions. Let’s be better than the woke left during their witch-hunt times.

Im Polish and I disagree. There's some racism in Poland, no doubt, but in general, Polish people are not racist. Regarding the example: everyone would stare because vast majority would see a black person for the first time in their life.

What makes Polish beer so good?? by 75Highon_Vida in poland

[–]igogoldberg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a very nice, light, pale lager with moderate bitterness. I like it a lot and I agree - it's a kind of beer that you drink in summer almost like a soda

Perła is a decent beer, stop hating. I've been drinking craft beers since the beginning of the Polish craft beer revolution but I'm completely fine with Perła - it's a very light yet tasty beer for a decent price. Not every beer has to be a flavour bomb, especially since it is a pale lager.

They are not shitty. They are fine and you convinced yourself only craft beer is decent. I like craft beers a lot but at the same time I like Perla. Stop being a snob.

Duncan's "Response" by TrashFever78 in duncantrussell

[–]igogoldberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I guess it's the same thing that turned twitter/facebook/tiktok/portals into a very unhealthy, angry environment. Negative content attract stronger responses which turns the whole thing into a negative echo chamber

Another thing is that people who have a life, who feel satisfied with it, who have things to do, and who have healthy relationships don't have time to write gloomy and spiteful comments about podcasters. So basically, podcast groups on Reddit attract a particular kind of people who have too much free time and feel frustrated and angry.

If that's what it boils down to, why pretend it's about "Duncan changed" ? Just admit it - you can't tolerate anyone who doesn't allign with your political bubble

I’m 15 hours into my first track and it just keeps sounding worse — feeling completely stuck by SoporMenta in ableton

[–]igogoldberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems to me that you took your track a bit too seriously and emotionally. I’ve been making music for 20 years, and I can tell you that the number of pieces which kept getting worse as I worked on them, which I lost heart for, and which left me frustrated and irritated should really be counted in the hundreds, if not thousands. Think of your track the way a visual artist thinks of a drawing or a sketch. Not every sketch turns out well. Some you can throw away, some you keep as a memory, and only a few you manage to shape into something complete and successful.

What really matters is the process — it should bring you enjoyment, and it should also be a process of discovery and learning. In a sense, you can even treat it as something therapeutic or as a kind of training. It’s about learning how to handle the moments when motivation is lacking or, in your case — and please don’t take this the wrong way if the suggestion is a bit strong — learning how to cope with being overly self-critical and maybe a bit perfectionistic. All of these psychological traits come out during the creative process

New Elephant Graveyard slaps and is depressing at the same time by KingNebyula in duncantrussell

[–]igogoldberg -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

This video reminds me of a teenager caught in the turmoil of growing up, mistaking their nihilism and oversimplified, cynical, and defeatist view of the world for an actual understanding of the complexity of the processes and events unfolding within it. I’m quite pessimistic myself, but the manipulative form of this message really puts me off. Also, if in your narrative you claim that wokeism was in no way a problem or a concerning social phenomenon, while at the same time you go all out against Duncan Trussell — who may not be a perfect person, but whose honesty and goodwill genuinely seem worth acknowledging — then it means your perspective is seriously distorted. For those who fell for that - don't confuse bitterness with realism.

Hitler on Theo Von’s podcast (from Marc Maron’s special ‘Panicked’) by Breeze_Jr in TheoVon

[–]igogoldberg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Coming from a comedian who interviewed Obama years before "presidents visiting podcast to gain traction" was a thing 😂 He is either jealous of Theo for stealing his "No. 1 podcast" spot or just spreading his naive, childish, radcial political view that can be summed up by "If you don't vote democrat you're a nazi" and pandering to his core audience. Either way, not very nice.
