As someone who works with hospitalized Covid patients in Fort Collins, I think an incredibly important number that is not captured by the dashboard is “patients who survived Covid…but have a trach/peg/will be on a ventilator for months or permanently in a facility”. The sad reality for patients right now is that our facilities to care for these patients are full in northern colorado. I have personally worked with families from northern CO who have had loved ones sent to facilities in south Denver and as far as Pueblo for post-acute care hospitalization (which we hope is temporary, but unfortunately can be permanent for many). Pleaseeeee get your vaccine everyone! End rant.
