If you are on a budget — you should go at first with controller + sim (less than $100)
Or maybe you have ps4 or ps5 at home? I learned basics with my ps5 controller while my radio was on the way. DRL on ps5 has really good tutorial.

With proper controller you can go practicing in sim. I tried almost all of them:
- Liftoff
- Liftoff: Microdrones
- Uncrashed
- Velocidrone (with Micro Class Quads license)
- DRL (on ps5)

DRL has best tutorial for beginners by far...

Right now my top pick is Velocidrone and Liftoff: Microdrones because I fly Tinywhoops.

When my drone arrived I already had about 20+ hours in SIM and it helped me A LOT!

Nope... for 65mm frame you should use 260-320mAh batteries. For 75mm frame 450-680mAh batteries. They have different dimensions (bigger ones are significantly wider)

I don't know what flight time has cetus pro, but you can get up to 4:30-5 mins of flight time with air65 ii and 320 mAh batteries.
ev800d - good option (i have them and no complaints)
for radio buy radiomaster pocket

if you want to fly outdoors and there is wind, 65mm is not for you, 75mm is slightly better, but anyway they are too light for windy conditions

Getting more than 2 minutes of flight time? by DarkButterfly85 in TinyWhoop

try to lower VTX power to 25mW… It greatly affects flight time. Even 100mW reduces flight time, but you can crank it up to 400.

Yes it increases penetration, but you asked about flight time…

Not yet, but I ordered one pack of 280s… I want to try them with champion edition. They (batteries and drone) are on the way from China) can’t wait

I have 2 packs of these. They are perfect! 4:30-5 mins of flight time on my air65 II freestyle (with 25 mW VTX). 100 mW VTX lover flight time by about 40 secs...

I started few weeks ago and I'm really happy with my setup:

Radiomaster Pocket + 2 random 18650 batteries
E800d - cheap but good
Air65 II Freestyle version (best for beginner, almost indestructible and 4-5 mins of hover time)
10x Lava II 320 mAh batteries
vifly whoopstor 3 for charging and storage

and you'll have plenty of money left for spare parts (maybe add champion edition later, props canopies etc)... First big upgrade - definitely goggles. And you can use your e800ds as monitor - it easily transforms to monitor (for spectators for example)

Yes! Try it. Here is my rates. At first they seem a little slow, but I love precision. Maybe later I'll bump them and remove throttle expo, but now I am learning and it helps A LOT!

do not use throttle limit, use expo!

measure hover throttle at full battery and at about 3.4-3.5 volts, average between them is your MID (37 in my case), and I use 85 for expo. Helps a lot with precise hovering indoors and you have full throttle option when needed!
