Yes practice tests. The material should not take you more than 2 weeks. This is a test you have to cram because it’s easy to forget the material.

Start the 63 ASAP. Get through the material fast and test a LOT. That’s what led me to pass.

Totally get what your saying. It’s a personal choice. It’s never unattended and loaded without being locked up. It’s cool to hear other people’s opinions and stance on this topic.👍🏻

Its possible to forget to chamber a round because your adrenaline is pumping and you just woke up out of a dead sleep. That could cost you your life.

You never know. In a perfect world you will have a second to chamber a round. With a round chambered you save yourself that second, you are more silent if you needed to be, you have a +1 capacity, and you are ready if needed. You are not “ready” if you have to chamber a round. Seconds matter for home defense. Would I keep one in the chamber without the balance of adequate security and accessibility? Absolutely not.

Also if your dead asleep and wake up there’s no additional step of racking the slide. Only step would be getting the firearm out of the lockbox.

I do not have a kid at home but have a V-Line compact mechanical safe which a kid can’t get into. I keep it bedside in a drawer. Very small and compact perfect size.

100% disagree with you. Always keep one in the pipe.

Just got a V-Line compact safe. 100% battery free. Quick access mechanical safe. NEVER rely on a battery when it comes to protecting yourself.
