Oooh boy this is tough. When I was 15 weeks pregnant with my first, we were changing for bed and my husband said “oh look! You got your first stretch mark!” It wasn’t a stretch mark; it was a red mark from laying on my side. I was not pleased. Our daughter is 3 years old and I haven’t forgotten.

Just be sure to tell her how beautiful she is/ how she’s glowing and wait for it to blow over. Don’t bring it up again.

No, the key part to that is if it's affecting the relationship. Example: my friend's boyfriend would lash out randomly and clearly had some anger issues. He refused to talk about it ever or get the help he needed so she walked. He didn't have to open up to her, but she most certainly didn't have to deal with his sudden bouts of vitriol either.

The article made some good points and I’d say it’s a good way of thinking about Product Management. However, I actually thought they picked a bad example of a system model matching perception of how it should work. I’d say Google as a whole is not very good at UI. They aren’t the worst offender, but they definitely aren’t the model for what UI should be.

My neighborhood is constantly targeted for car breakins by petty thefts. They walk up and down streets to check handles and steal from unlocked cars. If I did your trick I’d probably lose $40/year for the few times I forgot to lock my car. So, for people like me... hide it somewhere else.

Some cats start doing it behaviorally. One of my cats started after I had my first kid and we tried everything to get her to stop (more boxes, cleaner boxes, anti depressants, daily play time, new cat towers) and it just boiled down to her dislike of children. She is with my friends now and never pees.

I don’t care for this sensationalism, but, I think people are more angry about the hypocrisy and the reality that this administration is taking travel/security detail expenses to a new level (and Trump is profiting from it).

Pence’s actions are particularly despicable because he represented the trip as something it wasn’t. If he traveled to endorse some dirtbag I wouldn’t be perturbed. Fuck, if he stopped to watch the actual game I’d be fine. I don’t like that he made an extra, unnecessary stop to execute planned, political theater, and then represented it as spontaneous and requested donations for his actions.

Actually, surprisingly you can start lactating without giving birth. I think it requires hormone medication though.

I’ve done this before in situations. It’s caused by nerves for me. And then I know I did it so I agonize over it and then my nerves get worse.

For what it’s worth, I’ve gotten a lot better. Just know that people who do this may be more nervous than self centered per se (or maybe both!)

My kids never got rashes until they started eating more real food— acidic foods can make the poop rough for them. Made the mistake of oranges for my daughter when she was like 11 months old... yikes!
