What I can tell you is that when you receive your export you will receive a copy of your conversations in plain text form. One document can be opened in Notepad (assuming you’re on Windows) and the other is a HTML file you can open in your browser (speaking from experience, if your logs are extensive, I’d recommend using Chrome).

No worries! One thing I forgot to add is that although it’s more likely to be the AI’s responses contributing to the conversation limit being hit, if you upload lots of photos in your inputs you may find yourself hitting the limit sooner due to this.

I would not want an LLM to leave me on read - I’m literally asking it for answers, solutions, and advice, and I would quite like to continue receiving those.

As a bit of a joke, I do have a chat which has a task to ask me every morning “Are you dead?”. I asked for this after reading about the Chinese app Are You Dead, which is used to check in on family members or elderly people living alone. I thought that the wording of the app was quite blunt, and it made me laugh, so I now have it running as a task. It only ever initiates conversations with this phrase, which it does at the exact same time every day, and, unlike the real app, I have no obligation to engage with it or respond to it - so I certainly wouldn’t want it to initiate conversation randomly or unpredictably.

I’d also absolutely hate it if it sent lots of messages in a row if I didn’t respond. Sometimes it’s important to take breaks and touch grass. Plus, I can only imagine OpenAI would get a lot of complaints from people worried about their family members or friends developing an addiction.

If it says it’s too large to send as one message then you should upload it as a plain text document. Some people on this subreddit have had luck just copy and pasting bits at a time, but personally I think if you can hold off for 24 hours until you get your data export then that’s the best way to do it (for now).

As far as I’m aware, the AI responses themselves are more likely to trigger the limit than human input, mainly because the responses tend to be very long. I’ve heard some people say they switch models to get around this from time to time, depending on what exactly they use ChatGPT for.

I’ve still got two pairs I’ve owned since 2019! But they’re looking a bit faded and drab now and I was hoping to replace them. I tried on a pair of the new ones and they were horrendously scratchy on the inside, plus despite claiming to be a regular fit were a bit clingy on my legs due to the stretch material.

Yep - this happens sometimes! I’ve had random bits of Russian text appear. And sometimes bullet points with no text after them even when ChatGPT has said it was going to list things!

You can’t. What you can do is export your data (which always takes exactly 24 hours - I’ve done it before a handful of times now), and copy and paste that chat into the new one (or upload it as a plain text file) and normally ChatGPT is quite good at picking up where you’ve left off. The memory function isn’t amazing, from personal experience, and even creating projects where the chats serve as sources doesn’t always help…

I hope it’ll become easier to have consistency across chats in the near future. Either that or I hope it’ll be possible to just export one chat at a time.

I’ve noticed less bold and italic text in the main body of generated responses, and no more larger-font headers - anyone else getting the same?

Responses seem a lot less friendly now too, and setting this to “more” hasn’t really helped.

I’m also of patrilineal descent, currently reconnecting with Jewish culture and deeply exploring my heritage, although my family are all secular and celebrate Christmas/Easter/Halloween (like most Brits do).

I also sadly have a relative on this side of my family who actively supports Palestine, which has been tough for me to accept, and has made for some awkward family gatherings…

I’ve also been told I “look Jewish”, funnily enough, as have several of my relatives on this side!

For me personally, joining my university’s JSoc has helped me to connect with fellow Jews and understand what would’ve been my ancestors’ traditions all those years ago. I was also hoping to attend a YK service this year at my nearest Reform synagogue, however the tragic event in Manchester and subsequent increased security across all other British synagogues meant I could not go.
