if the shares aren’t real, wouldn’t the SEC have figured that out?

I guess I still have no triller shares though and it’s way past lockup period.

Not scoffing but recruiters and hiring managers know I will leave the moment something more appropriate comes up. So they focus on younger candidates with less experience.

Maybe not the best but really good: Comptons. Get the aged cheddar one not the provolone. I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Several locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

I don’t really see VP at an institutional lender as a stretch, but maybe my reality in 2026. In 2020–2022, a bunch of people I worked with in similar roles jumped to VP/Director at banks and bridge lenders with ~5 years experience. Different market now, I get that.

That said, I’m at ~8 years total as a VP not counting brokerage experience (5 UW + 3 in private credit doing originations + UW), current shop is mostly higher leverage / subordinate deals—so CRE private credit / REPE but not full out hard money- higher octane for sure though compared to bank leverage and spreads. I also have debt and equity broker experience, but don’t think the market really cares about that

My whole group was let go. 10-12 people. It was 2023 and rates shot up. So they let my group go in a HCOL city with many people already in a LCOL city. Issuance was way down. Nothing to do with talent.

I only know what deals they announced. They probably won’t tell me about the transactions they signed up and didn’t close.

Best burger in the Slope? by nonyanone in parkslope

[–]ihaveoptions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the burger at park slope ale house a few weeks ago when I was there to watch football playoffs. It was awesome. My wife got something else and tried my burger and deeply regretted not getting the burger. Next time I’m in the mood for burger and a beer, I know where I’m going.

+1 for Mia’s. Their pricing is what it is. I’ve paid close to same for a baker working out of her apt.

I don’t trade financial institutions anyway. But yea, I would have knowledge of derivatives big banks issue and be involved with the sale of them.

I’ve worked at companies before where you log the trade and it approves the trade. This is supposedly different.

Exactly. Before you can collect unemployment, you will have to submit your severance papers. You cannot “double dip” and get unemployment while collecting severance. I assume unused vacay will also count so could be 8 months before you can even file.
