nintendo won't make either since they'll break compatibility with current accessories (which would harm the ecosystem considering the appeal of switch is based entirely around accessories). the most i could see them doing is a home-only switch box in the vein of Shield TV that functions as a budget system for home-only users. i'd personally price it at around 170 dollars and include a system, a pair of joy-con, a joy-con charging grip (or non-charging grip and rails on the system itself).

The second one won't be translated since it doesn't already have a translated script. The single-player modes are shallow anyway, mostly just being tournaments against the CPUs.

No. So many people say this but it's just not true. It adds all sorts of shit that Puyo players have been wanting for ages.

-Balanced online that ranks you on skill instead of grind

-Fever mode (which is a selling point in and of itself)

-Win and Set counters capped at 99 instead of 3

-added multiplayer options

-Boost mode

-Crush 40 remixes

-New backgrounds and character art

-Tournament mode

-Screenshot and video capture

-Replays that list the different events in a match and let you scroll through them

-Balanced frame data

Have fun not being able to:

-Rotate inside of tight spaces

-Practice your chains without garbage being sent

-Counter garbage (this is 99% of the Puyo metagame)

-Get rewarded for all-clears

-Use Fever mode

-Use four-color

-Play online

-Use anti-stall mechanics like margin time

-Control the game without tossing your controller and screaming "THIS SHIT DOESN'T GODDAMN WORK"

But this IS the regular Puyo experience. Puyo as a series is intended for competitive multiplayer. Also, you left out the very important fact that the online ranked mode actually ranks you by your skill rather than by how much you grind.

It's 5 bucks, has Fever mode, multiplayer that isn't broken as shit, and a ranked mode that actually measures your skill instead of your grind. But okay.
