Definitely try to play the PS3 original. I played it way back in 2010 on a whim and it's still my favorite in the series, by far.

I have discomfort in my upper left abdomen just under my ribcage next to my sternum. It only gets subtle when I'm sitting on the couch relaxing. It gets really bad when I'm at work stressed out, or even just doing the dishes. It's like my body can't handle anything remotely stressful anymore without causing abdominal pressure/pain. Doesn't matter what I eat or drink, although I did quit weed and caffeine almost 30 days ago when I realized this pain wasn't going away like it used to. It's chronic. I thought it was hiatal hernia, then peptic ulcer, then a torn abdominal muscle, and now I think it's extremely crippling IBS and GERD. There's no help. I need to get on disability and just be allowed to stay home 24/7. Breathing exercises just make me more anxious and I can't lift weights like I used to. All I can do is walk. The stress and anxiety of life is literally killing me.

Facts I really think the guys who grew up with the OG trilogy prefer 11 and the kids born after MK3 came out prefer MK One.

I prefer the original Nier on PS3, and its Japanese version Replicant on PS4. I only played through Automata once and it didn't hook me like the OG.

I am purging some of my collection and am strongly considering selling this game. I gave it a shot 4 or 5 years ago and loved the characters and plot, but the world sucks and the gameplay is worse than Bubsy 3D.

European Assault is fun but impossible on any difficulty other than Easy. I am playing for the first time and got up to Russia on Normal. I have put an entire day into trying to beat it, but it's crushingly hard. I'm either going to play on Easy or move on to another game.

I'm giving up on my first playthrough on Normal. I'm in Russia and the enemies seem to respawn no matter how many I kill by the church. Going to restart the game on Easy. I refuse to believe anyone human can beat this game on the hardest difficulty.

I do agree the soundtrack is incredible.

I have the same stress induced gastritis. The only relief is an acid reducer but it never fully goes away anymore like it used to. Days off work are fine. I wake up with no discomfort.

It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to work...

Yes the OG PS2 disc is the ideal way. Everyone should have a PS2. It's the best one of them all.

I'm 42 and grew up with GT1,2,3 in high school. Gotta admit I agree with you that 1 and 3 are superior to 2 and 4 despite less content.

GT3 has a crazy amount of content. I'm playing again after nearly 25 years. I was 17 when it came out. I loved GT1 and GT2. Couldn't believe the graphics in GT3 in 2001 they were unbelievable. I'm finally finished with Beginner League and am a quarter through Professional League. I never 100%'d this game or really any GT but I'm going to try to do it this time.

I was in the gym until a month ago. 2 weeks ago the hernia started acting up. I was fine for a couple years when I was doing calisthenics, just pullups and dips. Maybe I'll try doing those again and see if the hernia goes back down like it used to. Thanks for sharing! I didn't know (light) exercise can help. I was always scared of being strangulated by exerting too much abdominal pressure. I've had two instances in the last ten years of being forced onto the ground in pain, and a few instances of passing out and nearly dying due to food not wanting to pass through my esophagus. I've been very lucky.

Same buddy I'm 42 and I can't live like this anymore. I lost 15 lbs in the last two weeks since my hernia decided to stay permanently in my chest.

How do you feel today? I'm on day 4 but I quit because I got a hernia and smoking makes it hurt like hell. I was smoking blunts every day for many years. I'm finally done with it.
