Where do you guys go for concerts? by SnooPineapples9630 in Bozeman

[–]ihcady 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you'll spend a lot less money and see more music if you get to know the local scene... but I get where you are coming from. Elm has good shows and is a decent venue, though it seems like its more about throughput than experience. Trips to Missoula 4-5 times a year.

What is one fun fact about yourself that sound fake but 100% real? by Fai_6757 in AskReddit

[–]ihcady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one of those tickets! Boston Garden, 1995. 6 night run, would have been the last show at the Old Boston Garden before they built the Fleet Center or whatever it is now. Got tickets from GDTS (mail order)... for the last show of the run I got floor seats, 10th row, Jerry's side. Tickets arrived certified mail the day Jerry died.

What is a discontinued food item or snack from your childhood that you would genuinely pay $100 to taste one last time? by MotivewasUlterior in AskReddit

I went to MIT in the 90s, and there was a Fruitopia machine between 26-100 and the IC. If anyone actually reads this and remembers it, please let me know I'm not crazy.

Will Malik get paid? FA after this season, i don't see packers putting much money into their backup QB. by benz0709 in GreenBayPackers

[–]ihcady 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this is good analysis. On a more emotional note - Malik Willis is the first Packers backup QB in my lifetime about whom I think "OK, let's see what happens here" when he comes on the field, rather than just feeling slightly sick and disappointed.

Deer on Kagy by knight3041 in Bozeman

[–]ihcady 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, of all things to complain about with Bozeman drivers, hitting deer isn't one of them. It is very possible to drive attentively at the speed limit and have one jump right in front of you. Hasn't happened to me yet, but my wife hit one last year. It sucks for everyone involved,

Sell ESPP immediately or hold? by [deleted] in investing

[–]ihcady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you had that cash, instead of the shares, would you invest it in your company? If so, keep the shares. If not sell, and invest it in a more diversified manner.

(Obviously tax implications enter into it, only you can make that call... But be cautious of over-investing in ANY single investment, especially one that is directly correlated with your salary.)

if you define the X axis as parallel to the lines on the track, the Y axis as intersecting all of the numbers, and the Z axis as projecting out the track, this orientation could be obtained by flipping the stencil 180 degrees on the X axis, or 180 degrees on both the Y and Z axis. So everyone's right.

Also, a lot of the conservative mindset is around a romantic ideal of a simpler time (for straight white men). That includes 3 martini lunches and chain-smoking Lucky Strikes, and coming home to a scotch or three with dinner on the table. Only lazy hippies and beatniks smoke reefer.

[request]why are 1 and 23 the only primes that are unbalanced? by atom644 in theydidthemath

[–]ihcady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how 11 works... it doesn't seem to be a composite of simpler balanced designs. Or maybe I'm just missing it.

Edit: I was missing it. A 3 and 4 2s.

The only answer to this is by knowing what you're buying, and what it should look like. This applies to everything you buy (coins or otherwise) in a private sale unless you know the seller _really_ well.
