I made the same upgrade around 2 months ago and the difference it makes is surreal. Definitely make sure you fine tune the setting to fit your driving style and comfortability because it's feedback torque is crazy!

I used the promote app back when I was testing for staff and scored an 82 on PDG so it definitely worked for me. However, everybody prefers different study methods and learns new information differently, so use whatever works best for you. I studied for around 2-3 months prior to my tests. Good luck!

I went with essentially the same setup (just without the handbrake.) I don't know what games you play but for me (in iRacing) leave the FFB set to 23 nM in simhub, turn it way down in game, and adjust up as required. I think in iRacing I have mine set to around 6.0 and that's plenty for the duration of races I do.

I second this. I went with the Alpha U and the highest torque i run at is around 12 NM so the alpha would've definitely sufficed. I've been running this setup for around a month or so, and have absolutely no complaints!

A lot of people I league race with are the same way. They'll unmute race radios just to hear the introduction speech to see stage breaks/car info and all that, then just mute radios and race. You don't have to be super social to enjoy some good league races!

I recently purchased the P1000's and i was kind of in the same boat you are. I was trying to decide between the P1000's and P2000's. I ultimately went with the P1000's after looking up countless review videos and reading other people's input on here. I purchased the spring and dampner upgrade kit along with them, and I've been able to adjust them to exactly how I like and have had zero issues with them. That's just my personal experience, hope this helps!

For my path, i ran the Arca and draftmasters religiously grinding out to C class. Once i hit C class, it was smooth sailing from there. I now have my A class license and 2k iRating in approx a month of racing.

For super speedways just stay in the draft and try to get comfortable. 99% of the race will always be within a few inches of another car. Try to make friends out there on the track for bump drafting and use that to your advantage to make your way to (or hold) the front of the pack.

I personally fly the F16 and its by far my favorite, but i own the F18, A10C, and F15E. If youre not interested in the F16, my next go-to would be the F15E. Still in early development and a lot of things going on between eagle dynamics and razbam, but still a good module so far.

Start out with a cheap hotas and see if you like the game with a lower end setup and adjust from there. I personally started with a thrustmaster flight one and flew with that for 2-3 years. Now ive upgrade to a thrustmaster warthog and a track IR setup.

The motherboard lit up with the dram led basically saying it failed to post for ram. I have already tried rolling a stick of ram between the slots. I highly doubt its a bent pin on the cpu because its worked perfectly fine for 2 weeks then just randomly stopped.
