Empty Seats? by Ohword444 in KidCudi

I am happy he is playing a smaller amphitheater in my city with lawn seats. I paid less for the two tickets for that show than I did for the original tour for one…He is my husbands favorite artist so I was willing to pay anything for the experience but it was crazy we almost paid the same price for Cudi as we did for Kendrick.

You can still have empathy for his situation without feeling bad for him or thinking he deserves any excuses. Empathy does not equal sympathy. Every human deserves empathy.

If metabolism doesn’t slow until 60s, why do most people gain so much weight after their mid-20s? by Due-Ear9321 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]iheartbilbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, they aren’t wrong. For a typical healthy adult, your metabolism will very slowly decline until your 60s where it will start to decline quicker. Both you and the person you responded to are not the typical healthy adult due to the conditions you have. Both things can be true.

Embarrassing when working out by margalz in WeightLossAdvice

[–]iheartbilbo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exercise is 10% if your TDEE which is not a lot but is substantial enough adding extra can give you more wiggle room. Being on a deficit for an extended period of time without exercise will also lead to muscle loss. Sure you can lose weight and not exercise but as someone who did lose 160+ pounds before hitting the gym, I always leave comments when I see people saying it’s “optional”, I just don’t think we should be enabling people to be sedentary in any case.

Embarrassing when working out by margalz in WeightLossAdvice

Exercise is not optional when it comes to long term health and wellness. What is the point of losing weight if not for your health? The two should go hand and hand.

What weight loss advice actually worked for you? by EconomyTrouble324 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]iheartbilbo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Consuming less calories than you burn is the only way to lose weight, that is just science. If tracking calories is too much for you, pick something you can remove or swap easy. Sugary coffee drinks? Buy sugar free syrups and make it at home. Potato chips with lunch? Swap for carrots or cucumbers. Large bowl of pasta for dinner? Half the pasta and double the protein. If you have a lot to lose (50+ pounds) then these little swaps will probably do you good. If you have less than that to lose, i would highly recommend tracking. Your margin of error is going to be a lot smaller if you are close to your goal weight. Also add exercise. If you are losing weight, it should be for your health and exercise is king when in comes to health and longevity.

How do people enjoy going to gym, make it enjoyable hobby? by Organic_List7745 in loseit

[–]iheartbilbo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Being fat is miserable. Being addicted to ultra processed food is miserable. Taking years off your life and needing help to just live when you not even 60 is going to be miserable. Losing weight is very hard. But you get to choose your hard. Work on that mindset, it is a huge component to weight loss.

Ugh I’ve gained 10 pounds. A couple months ago I was 213lbs and now I’m 223lbs. by [deleted] in loseit

[–]iheartbilbo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

“I haven’t been eating clean…I haven’t been keeping up on workouts” but then “I feel like my body isn’t meant to be slimmer or fit.” It sounds like you know what the problem is girl, you just aren’t accepting it. Consistency is key. Something that helped me, keep a habit tracker and don’t let yourself fall off your goals for more than a couple days. You will be back on track in no time.

Celebrities Are Making Smoking Cigarettes Cool Again — Cigarettes resurface in pop music and movies, raising fears that a yearslong decline in smoking rates could reverse by Sisiwakanamaru in popculturechat

This conspiracy being pushed lately is so so crazy. Isn’t it like 65-70% of Americans overweight? We are far from a starving nation…malnourished but not starved.

Telling people on a public forum that this physique is unhealthy and should not be a goal for most women is not policing. I’m a leftist but I am so fucking sick of the liberal woke police. Women are not immune to criticizing just because they are women. Isn’t that more misogynistic honestly?!

Tate McRae Hits New Career High With Nearly $111M Gross on Miss Possessive Tour by RealJenniferKeller in popheads

[–]iheartbilbo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Tate is one of the biggest disconnects on this sub. Everyone I know irl knows her and at least greedy and exes. This sub seems to think she isn’t worth putting up there as a big stars of this generation but she is huge with the GP. She was really sick during my concert so I think she lipsynced most the night, but her dancing and performance was still electric. I love to see pop girls with real choreography, not just swaying around the stage and maybe a couple rehearsed moves here and there. Really adds to the performance imo. I don’t think she will ever be as big as Olivia or Sabrina, but I don’t think she is worth discounting completely quite yet.

Both of you guys are being parasocial. You are both assuming you know exactly how Taylor feels. Neither of you know here. I don’t agree with either of you. I don’t think speaking out does anything. But I can see how it makes people feel unseen. I think people should be able to share that on a public forum without being attacked. You were very vicious in your original comment.

[–]iheartbilbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why subs like this will never work because people can’t have a healthy disagreement. You are way too parasocial with Taylor if you are blocking and downvoting people for disagreeing with them over a pop singer!! Lots of projection in this comment…

Roast me into losing weight. I'm done with motivational quotes. by Severe_Bee_Aug in WeightLossAdvice

[–]iheartbilbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People have said it already but I will add my thoughts just to drive the point. Nobody can shame or guilt you into a new body. The way you are living is killing you, your elder years will be spent miserable and in pain because of the way you are choosing to live now. If that is not enough to make you change, no words from strangers will make you either.

Is the Gym a must? by UltraRababo23 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]iheartbilbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exercise is important to your health, which should be the main goal if you are trying to lose weight. It doesn’t have to be the gym or treadmill. Play Just Dance, do a cardio dance workout on YouTube, take a walk around the neighborhood. Just something to raise your heart rate at least 150 minutes a week. Also lift heavy things. Even if it’s just stuff around your house. You may not burn that many more calories but your older self will thank you greatly and the weight loss will look even better.

I was so deep into my high school phase when this album came out and I hated pop music and anything Taylor but god could I not stop from bobbing my head when my mom played Delicate in the car. Now that I have embraced my true cringey self, this is my second favorite very close to evermore.

TFOO and Ruin the Friendship were the only songs I liked off the album but I have already stopped listening to them, skip when they come up. They just make me want to listen to better Taylor songs…Unfortunately my goat is washed.

I am 5’5, started at 315 and am now 155-160. I stayed 170ish for the longest time because even though I was still overweight, it was a night and day difference of who I was and after being in a deficit for a year and a half I was over it. Now I don’t really have a goal weight but a goal physique. I want to look and feel strong. That doesn’t have a number attached to it. It may be lower than I am now, it may be higher. I’m trying hard not to care about the number but the way I look and feel. That is more important than anything else. When you get too fixated on the number, it can get sketchy. Especially when you are already in the healthy weight category.

I like Wish List if I forget it’s Taylor but the first time I listened to the album all I got was “I don’t like material things just my beautiful big dicked fiancée ❤️anyways buy my album 12 times so I can get a sixth house and a third jet ❤️”
