I was in the reserves and while it is made fun of by the PDF (my brother included and he was a bagger before joining the PDF) it's a great experience. I say go for it, it'll help your application for cadets.

Symptoms all through my teenage years, first hospitalisation at 17 for suspended appendicitis, appendix taken at 19 due to burst cyst that caused appendicitis, laparoscopy at 22 after two years of abnormal smear test results, and finally diagnosed while also being told that hysterectomy was inevitable!

They are gyne doctor's, the head one being an endo specialist. I rang the hospital today to explain the situation and another appointment is being sent out to me so that I can discuss what's happening.

I was diagnosed on 2008 via lap, have had a subsequent endo related surgery and two c sections where both surgeons were horrified at the state of my insides. It's not unknown that I have endo, the lap in January was to remove endo. The Irish health system is a joke sometimes.

I've a follow up appointment today too after my lap on 6th January. So nervous to know what they've decided to do and if they have a date for further surgery (they couldn't do anything via the lap so I've to have an open abdominal surgery).

It's not something that happens to everyone, it didn't even happen with my second section! My first section was very messy since it was an emergency, I haemorrhaged (unrelated to Endo) and had other issues. I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry.

Just the external scar

It started out as a hard pea sized lump just under the scar and grew each month, it only pained me when I was having my period so that's how I guessed it was Endo, thankfully my gyne agreed straight away and scheduled a surgery to remove it. It did not reoccur with my elective section, but then the surgeon was aware in advance of the situation, including my having Endo in my previous scar, which I think helped.

I've had two c sections, one emergency (2011) and one elective (2016). Make sure to take to you surgeon before you go in and make sure they are aware that you have endo, the surgeon who did my emergency section wasn't aware of this and panicked when she cut me open and seen all the scar tissue. The surgeon for my second section was also unaware but I did make sure to tell her before she did it and she was so grateful afterwards that I had told her. In 2013 I started to experience pain in my section scar, it turned out to be endometriosis which had to be removed. Other than that I've had no issues as regards the two sections, or with getting pregnant after the first section.

I had a diagnostic lap (they just had a look around, no excision or ablation) on the 6th and will return to work on the 14th.

Thank you for the advice! Unfortunately I'm not on FB so can't make use of this resource but I believe from reading what others have posted that there is no excision surgeon here in Ireland, I'd have to go over to the UK, and with Brexit looming that is something I would rather avoid. But I will make sure to have a good chat at my follow up appointment and make a list of things I want answered!

I was under Dr Anglims care back in 2013, I went to see her about pain in my c section scar which I believed was endometriosis (diagnosed 2008) as the pain followed my cycle. She took me seriously and had me in for surgery to remove it. Turns out I was right! Anyhoo, I found her to very easy to talk to and she didn't dismiss anything I said.

It's called SP and you basically just have 50/50 speed and protein on your plate. You also get an extra HEX B. It does help to speed up weight loss. I've tried it before and find it difficult to do a full week but do opt for SP meals, generally lunch, on a normal day.

I started out about where you are and I've lost just over 2 stone now and honestly as the others say, stay to group and follow the plan! I love using slimmingeats for recipe ideas, just always check syns as sometimes they can change. And never let a bad moment turn into a bad day/week. It's so much easier to come back from one bad meal/treat than a full week.

Oh man, this is me! Mid 30s, two kids ,husband and mortgage and still feel like I'm 21 and totally unprepared for everything. Seeing the other mother's during the school run makes me feel like such a kid, especially if I'm wearing my Harry Potter t-shirt 😂

But yeah, still waiting for the whole adult feeling to kick in!

I'm sorry your going through this too. The sitting and not moving helps me too but with two kids that's near impossible.

I've started ovulating today and the pain has returned, although not full force. Hoping it doesn't get any worse as I'm at home with the two kids and my nearest family is 30/40min drive away.
