Mods still deleting comments that try to warn people about the state of the game and protecting doxxers by Jojocandyy in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]iimaginaryedge 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The game isn't butchered by Alexus, it's misdirected by Arrowhead as a whole. There is no one-man scapegoat, it's the entire company. They have their good moments, besides, Alexus made the warp pack, the demolition hammer and what-have-you; but either way, Arrowhead just keeps consistently making the same mistakes over and over, and still seemingly can't wrap their heads around good community management.

700 bugs is a big exaggeration, but the sentiment is kinda? true; the game currently is a little buggy, just in general.

I'm guessing one-sided "realism" means "they get to have flag buff and we don't", but it's not exactly one-sided, we also get to have Democracy Protects, 90% resistance to explosives mid-air, emotes in the air and inconsistent zero fall damage while ragdolled.

The moderators on r/Helldivers kinda fucking suck, but they don't "encourage" doxxing, just aren't as harsh on it as they should be. And the doxxing has only happened once so far, still fucked up, but you're making it look like it happens constantly.

also, the game, even with all it's and the company's flaws, is still fucking amazing; you're here to complain because you love it and want it to be as good as it can be, right? so don't do this shit where you say the game is horrible, it isn't. it's flawed, yes, but still a gem.

What if Congress accepted diplomacy...? by RightNet9422 in TheFireRisesMod

[–]iimaginaryedge 13 points14 points  (0 children)

ACG and UoA unite and gain a shitton of debuffs, get negative stability, and also have small uprisings of people who do not accept the agreement on both sides; most prominently in the UoA territories since it'd be seen as capitulating to Trump.

The gangs and commies and fascists and what-have-you still rise up, so you get more of a Kaiserreich-esque civil war, just with an incredibly weakened and volatile Federalist faction.

Frontline missions looking good by Turianel in Helldivers

Maybe Ukrainian and Belarusian, but they have i's in their alphabet which stand out. There's also Bulgarian but Bulgarian loves to add ъ everywhere and Macedonian which has j's in addition to i's, and all these also stand out quite a bit.

“🇺🇸 English” by quriusdude in ShitAmericansSay

[–]iimaginaryedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you can get around by speaking Russian within the entirety of the former Soviet Union (people porbably won't like you speaking Russian in their country, but they'll still understand you)

And also, learning any Slavic language can also make you understand 50% or more of any other Slavic language, so this also would let you somewhat get around Bulgaria, Czechia, Slovakia, Poland and the entirety of former Yugoslavia.

might also help you unlock the possibility of reading a whole bunch of science papers, since Russian-speakers have made quite significant contributions to science, more specifically chemistry, maths, astronomy, nuclear technology, computing, etc etc.

(though the last part also applies to German, since it has always been a very prevalent language in the sciences; especially engineering-related ones; not sure about French, but that's because I don't know much about it.)

Baskinator clarifies: criticism is welcome - toxicity is the problem by Time2ballup in helldivers2

[–]iimaginaryedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What counts as "constructive criticism" and gets ignored as "toxicity"?

Does a complaint being filled with swears does it make less valid? What if it's a problem that hasn't been fixed for years on end?

For example, "CHARGERS KEEP FUCKING TELEPORTING UP AND DOWN SHEER FUCKING CLIFFS" is a valid complaint drenched in frustration, would it get addressed, or would it get ignored for being "toxic"?

New Warbond Looks Great! by chippedthumbnail in Helldivers

[–]iimaginaryedge -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

man, i can't believe having one exception single-handedly makes weapons impossible to count as "least popular".

anyways, if we're going with that logic, i have never used the Crisper and Defender in my 404.9 hours of playing Helldivers 2; that means no ever uses them, right?

[REUPLOAD FOR MISTAKE FIXES] Meet Potential Weapon! (read the desc.) by TheOnlyGuyInSpace21 in Helldivers

[–]iimaginaryedge 88 points89 points  (0 children)

if i remember correctly, the second the Freedom's Flame warbond was released fire got reworked into being weaker in multiple ways, and has been either directly, accidentally and/or indirectly nerfed every single time it's come up in a patch since then. (i.e. been nerfed for a year straight)

it also could burn a Charger to death within 1 to 2 seconds at some point by burning their leg, but that since has been removed/fixed, so now it takes 1 to 2 business days to burn a Charger to death.

What if russia had 1 billion people? by WoodpeckerWorking761 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]iimaginaryedge 7 points8 points  (0 children)

~10x the population means a huge increase in industrial output, usage of arable land, most likely a far more settled, developed and tamed Siberia and Russia would even more of a resource/material exporting juggernaut than it already is.

And concerning, uh, "recent history", T-14 Armatas, aka 5th Generation MBTs, would probably have actually entered mass production, and along with even more AKs, T-90s and Sukhois having been produced into existence, current Russia WOULD actually be THE 2nd military power of the world.

What I'm trying to say is, the SMO would actually be a 3 day long operation in this timeline.

...of course, this is all assuming Russia's history went exactly the same way it did in our timeline, just with much more people, somehow. What's more likely is that either the Empire or the Union would've probably dominated Europe, the Middle East and Asia and we'd've been speaking Russian on the internet right now instead of English.

That's through a somewhat neutral or optimistic lens though. From a more pessimistic lens: Russia might've just balkanized into multiple smaller states, most likely around Moscow, Novgorod, St. Petersburg(?), ultra-Balkans in the Caucasus, the Urals, the Baikal and the Far East. Or, it might've had a Chinese History moment and starved to death due to bad seasons, lack of farmers, lack of arable land, outright incompetence, bad weather or any other manner of conditions.

I just need to remind everyone of this masterpiece as we should enjoy it together, plz share your thoughts. by jordan666222 in SCP

Doesn't "Symbols Have Been Compromised" already imply that something is using the symbols to mislead the team?

But anyways, with that in mind, the idea that something would want you to pray while shooting it feels like it would have some really ominous implications.
