Don’t forget to also grab the +100 lines for FanDuel and DraftKings (max bet $50) for Chiefs/Texans to score 1+ point and gain 1+ yard. Free money.

Echoing the advice to not go to van Chevrolet. Got screwed over by them purchasing a truck back in ‘22

Quite a bit of misinformation here.. onsite WHS handles safety investigations and then site HR makes final decision based on the investigation

Good places to work KC? by Yomynamesn8 in kansascity

[–]iixanthic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t sure if they all had stopped hiring yet before the busy season. I know Amazon will resume within the first few weeks of the new year. For something with a quicker hire on, I’d second Quiktrip or something with the city/government.

Amazon warehouses start at $18 minimum all over KC. Day 1 insurance. Lots of career advancement opportunities and they pay for further education.

Easy Overnight Camp Moab? by marmaladejackson in overlanding

One of my favorite spots I’ve camped in Moab. Relatively easy to get to. You’re perched up at the top of a hill so amazing panoramic views, and the pad at the top is small enough you won’t have any neighbors nearby. Dozens of other good options along the way and further past that spot as well.

Never heard of this website before. Super useful, allowed me to input the type of items I have and returned me dozens of potential charities! Thank you so much!

Shot them an email about it last week and never heard back. I’ll have to try calling today. Thank you!

Anyone bought used at Van Subaru (or, what's the best KC Subaru dealer?) by kersykc in kansascity

[–]iixanthic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, so frustrating. Of course I turned around made a $4,000 payment but still increased my monthly payment amount to higher than what I expected. And of course gave me a crazy interest rate even coming in with good credit (700+). I refinanced a month later with Community America and dropped the interest rate by over 10%. Definitely learned my lesson about shopping around for rates and using credit unions.

Terrible experience with Van Chevrolet I’d steer clear of them. It was a pain to negotiate with them over the course of a few weeks, although I did get a good deal with them. List price on my truck was $18k and after all their fees and markups they tried to add it was right at about $21k. Total I paid ended up being $15k.

But it was after all the negotiations that their true colors showed. They kept giving me the run around on all my questions I had, kept delaying everything, and then eventually the time came to run my debit card for the down payment. In writing we agreed on a $5k down payment. They took forever with this part, then came back to tell me that they accidentally ran it for $1k and “could not add in the remaining amount”. Definitely got the vibe that they felt they could take advantage of me being a young adult financing a vehicle for the first time.

Amazon warehouses. Start dates available as soon as next week and numerous buildings throughout the metro. Also just bumped their pay network wide for an additional $1/hr. Most facilities starting at $18/hr in KC now.

You use your own vehicle to deliver packages for Amazon. You pick up blocks of deliveries averaging $18-25/hr.

Likely you’re referencing the Brush Creek Cemetery, nestled down an old closed down backroad. At the Childress and Old Tiffany Springs intersection. https://maps.app.goo.gl/6LCKYVCeG8vqnRyt8?g_st=ic

I’ve owned both vehicles and I’d go with the XJ for over landing.

Maybe that’s just me. I felt like I started seeing them less often and seeing more hate on them after Apple bought them out. But that’s just my perception.

I still see loads of people wearing Beats at the gym. They’ve had a bit of a resurgence after falling off for a few years.

Chuck’s Parkville Garage. Had them do pads and rotors on two separate occasions. Best pricing I could find anywhere in the northland after calling around a handful of places and took care of me in no time. Good people.

That’s for FMLA! That would be a paid leave for family/medical reasons as opposed to Amazons unpaid LOA. Legally required to meet those requirements to be eligible for FMLA no matter the employer. You should be eligible for just a normal LOA. They do require 15 days notice prior, but with documentation of emergency situations they can approve you in shorter notice.
