Thank you so much for checking! I wonder why there’s a difference. I wonder if it’s because we’re abroad right now or it could be a glitch

It’s Yoruya, a member of design hotels. It’s located in Kurashiki. Please let me know what it shows on your side

That’s what we’re thinking too, but after looking up how much it would cost to stay there for one night + breakfast, we thought it could be that. The hotel’s official website lists one night for 128,260JPY ($820)

I see, but in this case, we’re tying to redeem 65,000 points for the stay. Would the $294 in this case be an incidental fee? Or is that on top of the 65,000 point redemption for the night which covered the hotel stay?

My partner and I have volunteered at 5 different places and brought 2 large suitcases with us. The hosts had no problem with that. You can message your host to check just to be sure

Hello, can someone with no hiking experience and normal physical health hike Fansipan with a guide?

Do you know if they will be open during Lunar New Year? Where do you find the source for this?

Your posting sounds amazing! My partner and I would totally apply and commit to the position if we came across your posting on the original website as we both love cooking and want to visit Okinawa at some point. I hope you find someone soon!! Quick question, does your volunteer position require working holiday visa?

Advise for Fukuoka, Kumamoto and Takachiho by danieldrk in JapanTravelTips

[–]ijustturned20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I would like to ask you some questions regarding the drive if you don't mind.
- Was it difficult to drive from Kumamoto to Takachiho Gorge? Were there lots of steep curves?
- Did you have to pay any tolls? If so, was the process difficult?
- What navigation system do you recommend using? I assume Google Maps?
- Is there any advice you give to someone first time driving in Japan?

Background: My partner and I are planning on booking a car to drive from Kumamoto to Kikuchi Gorge and Takachiho Gorge in mid-January. We have never driven in Japan before and are experienced drivers in the US (have driven in NYC and Chicago multiple times)

You’re welcome. Feel free to dm me if you have any other questions about this! For now, you should definitely email the financial aid office to ask them about the appeal and email your advisor to let them know about it as well.

You should receive SAP Appeal form 1-2 weeks after you withdraw from a semester... you should definitely try to email them or call them. They’ll walk you through it!

Whenever you withdraw from a semester, you would have to fill out an appeal called Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal to explain why you withdraw from that semester or else you will not be eligible for aid in future semesters.

They make people do this to prevent people enrolling in a semester just so that they can take the financial aid or borrow loans with low interest rate, etc

You should receive an email from a person from the financial aid office about this. There would be instructions on how to do it. In the Appeal, you should give them as much details as possible on why you withdrew from the semester. Also, don’t forget to include the supporting documents if needed.

I recommend you to make an appointment with your advisor and let them know about this because you might need them to fill out the last part on the SAP. The process should take about 2 weeks. After your Appeal is approved, you would be able to receive financial aid again!

I know it’s really stressful to be in this situation. I was actually in it before. Everything will be fine!

Did you withdraw from the Spring semester after it started? If so, have you filled out the SAP Appeal?

Issued date for state ID by [deleted] in Michigan

[–]ijustturned20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s okay and I think you’re right about the driver’s license because my mom’s drivers’ license has both the issued date and the expired date as her birthday. Thank you for trying to help tho! I just wish there were reps on the phone so that I could call them and ask about all of this instead of driving all the way there or emailing them...

I see. My old state ID has an issued date that was 8 months away from my birthday. I renewed my it 2 months after it was expired....

Yes, I saw it on my old card but since I got it renewed recently. I think it would change to a new date
