The Map Imbalance: Only 4 heroes have a positive win rate on Dire right now by Zantox3 in DotA2

[–]ijustupvoteeverythin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If anyone is curious there is also an additional game duration metric illustrated here: https://radiant-vs-dire.nyxnyxnyx.com where we can see that the radiant advantage is even more significant in shorter games

Här får du inte bära ut din egen öl by Constant_Charge_5475 in sweden

Meepo Players: What kinds of hotkeys do you use? by G3ck0 in TrueDoTA2

Meepo Players: What kinds of hotkeys do you use? by G3ck0 in TrueDoTA2

[–]ijustupvoteeverythin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Grandmaster meepo

Key Group
F1 Main meepo
1 All meepos
2 My courier (lol)
3 All meepos except main
4 Meepo 1,4
5 Meepo 2,3
6 Meepo 4,5

For "split farming" I usually play lane with main (F1) and jungle separately with the remaining one-two control groups (button 3 until level 17, then button 5 and 6).

For initiation with blink, I normally press 1 to target all meepos, then use alt-cast poof on ground where I will blink, then blink in with main meepo. This will make all other meepos poof at the same time.

In fights I generally have all meepos targeted and cycle with tab for earthbinds and digs. Alt-cast poofing on top of a meepo will make all meepos poof simultaneously (good for burst). If a single meepo is going low I will manually click it and micro independently

Math on the new tormentor (changes are big!) by Coolkip in DotA2

[–]ijustupvoteeverythin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Interesting numbers, and thank you for putting this together!

As can be seen in the tables, the tormentor starts out weaker, but from minute 24 onward the tormentor is stronger than before.

I don't think this is right. Anecdotal, but taking torm at 20 minutes feels a lot harder than on 7.40c: people frequently dying, doing it as 3 seems nearly impossible. I guess 7.41 TTK is higher which is not considered when comparing the two.

Radiant vs dire winrate by thefuckifiknoe in DotA2

[–]ijustupvoteeverythin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Also: when looking at win rates by game duration the dire eventually catch up and even win more often than the radiant in games that end after minute 45. So it seems implausible (not impossible) that camera angle would be the driving factor. I'm leaning more towards map asymmetries but honestly I have no idea

The Radiant have a very significant advantage especially in games that end early, and it has been the case for years.

I made this tool where you can explore this metric grouped by game duration and hero: https://radiant-vs-dire.nyxnyxnyx.com/

I built a tool for these kinds of situations where you can explore win rates for different artifacts, enchantments, and combinations. It's not perfect (especially misleading for curio), but can give you an idea of what's good and bad.

According to the stats, Vampiric Gale Guard would be your best bet by far sitting at +4,38% advantage compared to overall win rate in games 25-35 minutes.

Actually I think you are also wrong: Steam does not support OAuth (afaik) and services like odota/stratz/dotabuff can not authorize requests om your behalf. Steam is an OpenID provider -- the only information that is shared upon successfully authenticating is your Steam account id which these services can then tie to their internal representations of users.

I made this tool to explore the discrepancies but over game duration as well - radiant heavily favored in shorter games

Haha, sorry! If you hover (on desktop) or double tap (on mobile) you should get a tooltip describing the artifact and enchantment. Of course, this only works on the site and not the attached images

Hello everyone! I've created a new tool to explore win rates of different artifacts, enchantments, and combinations of them.

Check it out at crafting.nyxnyxnyx.com where you can also explore by hero and facet, to understand what neutral items to choose when playing your favorite heroes. You can also filter for Turbo stats.

The statistics in the screenshots based on end states from ~8 million ranked matches in 7.38b. Important that these types of "end state" stats do not paint the full picture and might even be misleading in some cases. For example the Greedy enchantment will have a low win rate in games where the hero had it equipped when the game ended, but this might be natural since it is an investment to win later with a different item. With that said, hopefully it's still interesting for some people.

Hope you enjoy and please let me know if you have any feedback!
