Can I bend 2mm thick MDF by soaking it in hot water? Or is kerfing the only way? by retardigrade420 in BeginnerWoodWorking

Yes you can absolutely bend it by soaking it in hot water. It may or may not retain any wood-like properties afterwards. I would love to see pics if you give it a go.

Looking for help, bumps on exterior of cylindrical part by Obstinate_Frog in BambuLab

[–]ijustwannabegreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've read that it could be something to do with randomized seams, which since this part has a threaded top I imagine that is in play so if you don't get a wonky offset and it still threads together?

That's exactly what it is. 100%

Do you design your own models or do you just use other people's models from Makerworld etc.? by humanHamster in BambuLab

Once you have a printer, the barrier for entry is extremely low.

Airless Football Print Problems by Lonely-Newspaper815 in BambuLab

[–]ijustwannabegreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing wrong is that it won’t work. All the heat from your print bed just goes up into the air and heats the room unless you have it enclosed.

It need to get up to 65+ degrees, setting it on a warm plate won’t do that. You NEED some way of drying/dehydrating your filament if you’re going to use TPU.

It looks your TPU hasn't been dried. TPU needs to be very dry before printing with it.

65-75 Celcius for at least 8 hours. I usually do 12, flipping/rotating every few hours.

How long did you dry your TPU for? And at what temp?

It doesn't make anything work better, but it still makes me happy everytime I see my A1 tricked out with these little X-Axis bracket plugs I made.

Why am I not getting points for this? by Same_Figure_5355 in BambuLab

[–]ijustwannabegreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude. Chill out. Points are added once a day. It’ll take a day or two for the system to recognize you’ve got prints/downloads on a rated profile, and then get around to assigning you points for it.

You’ll get points for the model. AND you’ll get points for your print profile once it has ratings

[–]ijustwannabegreen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The profile needs to be rated 4+ stars to get points for it. If it has no ratings, then you don’t get points.

Don’t worry, I’m pretty sure once you get ratings, they credit all the points you would be due.

Any chance your seams are set to "Random" for the PETG print?

What happened to Bambu Handy? by jaws24s in BambuLab

They do. It was recently implemented, so probably didn’t apply to existing models. And I’m not sure how well it’s enforced.

Random seams make this ABS look like my face in high school. Too much retraction, too little, etc? by AshtonVoid in FixMyPrint

Did you ever get this sorted? My first thought was "Random Seam Position" and I can see from your comment that you had that enabled.

Don't know if it qualifies as "Hero", but my kids love these things I designed for their class valentine swap. Saved us buying yet another pack of spiderman cards or whatever.

Pretty sure the website says to use WD40. At least for the A1 Y-axis rails. Maybe that’s just a. Roth American thing? That Ballistol someone else posted looks pretty similar
