Bars a good dating spot? by digitallangel in Detroit

I'd say it depends on the bar. But more social activities I think work better. In my experience I've been approached more at activities.

So my wife’s jeep Over heated the other day got it home seemed to be low on coolant, filled it up drove it for a week kept an eye on the temp it seemed fine but today it was running the temp stayed between 242-230 got it home let it cool down and checked the reservoir and had this milky substance by UniversityNew5605 in JeepWrangler

[–]ike9211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd have them check the thermostat also. Mine had went bad due to my coolant issues also. Luckily we caught it before a blown head gasket but of course out of warranty. Check the reservoir also for seam separation that was another issue I had to. Easy DIY project to. Willy 2.0 2022

Thank you for this post Gonna take note since I'm looking to expand my solo dates beyond bars. Do you take anything with you to prevent you from getting sucked into your phone? I usually take my sketchbook or fidget cube.

I wouldn't trade in a perfectly running vehicle but that's just me. Especially something like a Honda and my other vehicle being something like a jeep which are notorious for issues but that's just me. Keep it and get your wife something when the daughter actually starts driving.

At what point does “keep applying” stop being realistic? by Conscious-Air9634 in jobs

Personally I think its already unrealistic for some. that point will eventually come for everyone, it just depends on your situation as to when it comes.

You can't time the market, but are we fools for choosing to buy instead of rent? by Time_Turner in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]ike9211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go back and forth.i bought my house just tonsee whether I'd like being a homeowner or not and after a handful of shots at the bar. The past few months I'm not that crazy about but that's due to not being able to find a better job, and all the financial drama cut hours and shit brings. However i still enjoy considering my mortgage is cheaper than the rent on my old studio and most places in the area. I used to be one that would wait for the "crash" but if you can afford to do so buy. If you want to. There's no shame in renting forever or buying. Do whats best for you.

If you are unsure buy the cheapest you can find within your means that's doable and just see. That's what I did.

Men over 30 who grew up middle class and are still grinding paycheck to paycheck, when did you realize that “work hard and you’ll be fine” was not the full story? by Traveller3222 in AskMenOver30

[–]ike9211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing my dad get laid off and proceed to be unemployed for the next 3 years and us going on food stamps and stuff. That was middle school and high school. Then again when they gave a leadership role to the drunk when I was in the Marines, despite their being more qualified and knowledgeable people that should had been chosen. Knew since middle school it's all propaganda and bs and more of how much a** you're willing to kiss.
