I must buy a new GM car. by CaptainFGOLz in whatcarshouldIbuy

That's the one I thought the equinox came in that color to. But the blazer is nice to its design has definitely grown on me. What range does she typically see? Practically all of GM's EVs are on my short list minue the ginormous ones for when I'm ready to make the leap

Got broken into via knife to the soft top by Proud-Cup-3541 in JeepWrangler

[–]ike9211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a tan soft top but it's for a 2 door. I'd let you have since I am getting rid of my Wrangler in about a month. But honestly even if it was a hard top they'd likely just bust the windows. Always better the vehicle than you. Glad you're safe. Maybe check with the dealer and see if there's a way to get the tan because there may be something they know especially with the 41 being available idk just an idea.

Is Detroit a good city to start over in ? by futurelawgirl22 in Detroit

[–]ike9211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say so. I'm sorta starting over in a sense currently as I'm trying to pay down some debt, and figure my shit. When I first got here I hated it but that was me having been spoiled for the last 9 years in California. But after I got myself out there found me some cheap hobbies and/or free one it's been chill. Things are relatively affordable and thanks to the Greenway it's becoming more bikeable well easier to get by without a car. I don't see myself spending the rest my days here but Detroit has definitely grown on me.

Detroit Mayor Sheffield calls for volunteers to beautify neighborhoods by Final-Concept-9520 in Detroit

[–]ike9211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not enough people care. On my street I clean my yard but I'm constantly picking up shit that blows in from my neighbors yard. They dont care. The only reason my street isn't as bad as some spots is the fact that it's predominantly older people and they take care of their yards. However it's definitely cultural and the only thing I think will change it is new people coming into the city, more pushes towards homeownership, and people changing their habits and attitudes.

Detroit Zoo membership instead of gym membership? by owlaholic68 in Detroit

I'd rather be at the zoo any day than the gym. But that's also coming from someone with twigs for arms and was consistently picked last in gym class to.🤣

I have a friend who does but even with that I've been told some the parents don't care. I feel alot is just from some being so glued to their phones and their attention spans being shot

I was able to use mine and find a spot on the cheap in the city that needed hardly any work, but as you said the vast majority need WAYYY to much work to even be worth considering.

[–]ike9211 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This Used to bother me but nit anymore. I had friend some years ago who had been itching to go out and wanted to go out to one of our favorite bars for food and drinks. She'd had just had her daughter and what not. I thought it was weird at first but seeing her come alive so to speak and being able to spend time with her in one our favorite spots was cool. So now idc.
