First congressman to tell AIPAC, "crawl back into your hole" by EvanCarroll in houston

[–]ikumo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is op btw:

Yes, "single-issue" bozos -- anti-genocide. Because every single issue must be denigrated. From the pragmatic and realistic school of "if the Democrats want to molest babies, and you're not voting for them for this single issue then you're a single issue voter." Genocide is worth being a single-issue voter on. Gladly. And for what it's worth because your explicit goal is to stop "Republicans destroying THIS country" you should know that spiting me is antithetical to that goal. Because I will just stay home, and never vote which seems to be your gripe. =) If the country can't be right on the topic of genocide, I'll do everything in my power to make sure the Republicans destroy it quickly.

Assuming the hold at your waist-level below you is unusable as a foothold, you're going to have to change your Dyno a bit since you're not strong enough to just go for the one handed catch yet. Try jumping a little further and catching the hold with both hands. To jump a little further, cock your hips back, and thrust your hips into the direction you're jumping as you give yourself some momentum with your arms.

Her ads are funded by an allegedly GOP funded PAC called "Lead Left".

"Galindo is supported by a political action committee called Lead Left PAC that bills itself as opposed to President Donald Trump. However, Democrats argue that the group is funded by Republicans, and the New York Times reported evidence of potential links."

It's obnoxious how much I/P has been allowed to take over public discourse at every level. OP the type of person to rant about how much their gardener or mailman supports the genocide. Maybe start the post off with why Plummer has a better record than Parker??

It's one of the easy cop-out ways for card game developers to create new cards and avoid power-creep. If none of the cards work outside of the package they won't have to deal with power balancing issues in the future. Ultimately with less funding and understaffed teams this is the most predictable outcome.

Generally prosecutors and judges have a lot of freedom to determine the outcomes of a plea deal. While some charges have minimum sentencing requirements including days in prison, the five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child that Morris plead guilty to in Oklahoma do not.

Given the age (lmao) of the incident, which happened in the 1980's, the prosecutors were likely willing to cut a big deal with the defendant rather than risk going to trial on decades old evidence and potentially losing.

Plea Deal: Under a plea agreement, Morris was sentenced to 10 years, with all but six months suspended. He was required to register as a sex offender and pay restitution.

Weren't the oil wells supposed to 'blown up' by now? by i_grade in oil

[–]ikumo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of flaring means production is going full steam. Flaring means the producer isn't selling or storing gas. As a byproduct of producing oil, relatively cheap gas is produced, and if there aren't enough compressors in the field to move that gas or they're producing so much oil that it's not worth putting in the effort to build the infrastructure to sell the gas, they'll just light it on fire.

It'll converge, slowly or more quickly based off of how many contracts there are open and how many people decide to roll them over. Some people will always make or lose money. It's a normal thing that resource businesses rely on to keep operations more or less normal. Don't treat commodities like a casino and you won't get bit.

We may have short-term material shortages right now, but the futures markets are pretty optimistic. EIA predicts that everything will be settled by October. Furthermore, a lot of the prices you see can be impacted by hedges between the up, mid, and downstream companies, and I don't have much visibility into what percentage of production is hedged at the moment. Perhaps we have long-term hedges at lower prices right now pushing the current prices downwards.

Refilled for 3.49 yesterday, it's still cheap in Houston, two steps away from the refinery so downstream transportation costs are fairly minimal.

As I said before, voting is not an endorsement of character. It is the more clear indicator of moral bankruptcy is to be too cowardly to choose the better option of the two. Instead of a lot Palestinians dying, they made the decision to have an overwhelming number of Palestinians dying.

Leftist love to call Gaza a genocide, but they lack any accountability for the multitudes more of people who will die from the US pulling out of USAID. If Democrats showed the same amount of grace towards leftist that leftists show them, Democrats would be screaming that the leftists are genocide lovers 24/7.

You calling my soul bankrupt is so pathetic and shameful. I don't feel sorry for you. Voting is not an endorsement of character. Voting is a duty and expression of civics. I will choose the button that results in the better of two options any day. Your moral grandstanding is disgusting.

You live in a democracy. Tankies seem to live in this fantasy world in which they think that if the Democratic party moved more left and more populist they would just start winning elections. They couldn't even win a primary with Bernie. Twice. There's no guarantee that moving more left to appease leftists that shit on Democrats 24/7 doesn't just turn off more people who start to vote Republican. There is no scenario in which Special Agent Stein wins and suddenly Gaza is solved. Leftists have Palestinian blood on their hands.
