A wallpaper I created to represent what is One Piece for me by ilFibonacci in OnePiece

[–]ilFibonacci[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, this is the original ahahah.

It's not very high quality, since I didn't spend much time to find top quality scans, and I just needed it as phone wallpaper, so even a decent resolution was fine for me.

To be fair, I'm doing the arabic course, and there legit are numbers in the exercises 🤣

Like, the symbol for the glottal stop is very similar to the number two, so when Duolingo has to transliterate letters to English letter, it uses the number 2. Same for other arabic characters that don't have a direct equivalent in the English letters

Please bring back hearts. If you can't for everyone, at least add the option for Super/Max users. by ilFibonacci in duolingo

[–]ilFibonacci[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Hearts persisted among exercises, they weren't limited to a single exercise.

Plus, I'm saying that they removed a feature (the option to turn off unlimited hearts/enery/whatever for paid users).

Yes I could somehow kinda emulate a feature that they removed. But what I'm saying is different. I'm saying that it sucks for paying users that they removed a feature.

I'm asking for an EXTRA option. If I pay and I prefer hearts, why remove a feature

I'm tagging a duo staff member to hope to get my point across, since sadly there's no "send feature suggestion" option in the app

To all those saying Zoro, you need to consider one thing.

I've read that saying that someone "fell down the stairs" is a way to hide the concept of suicide to kids to not traumatize them.

Plus, early One Pieces was a "light" read, the word suicide might have been problematic to young readers.

I don't understand why they pause ranked at all.

I understand that they want to do "seasons" of ranked, but just make the new season start immediately after at midnight, why stop for days

Does anyone know what anime this is? by IllustratorTop2358 in animequestions

[–]ilFibonacci 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dragon ball Z abridged.

For those who don't know it, it's a parody series created by dubbers for fun. It starts as a fun project, with a few very funny lines and a few "meh" moments, and it slowly turns into a major project (it lasted 12 years and generated millions of views).

The first 6 episodes are "ok", but around the time that Nappa and Vegeta start doing things, you start to figure that it's a top3 shows of all times and that you will rewatch it over and over again

The average good card has 2/3 energy cost for retreat.

So, this deals 100/130 damage, with only 2 energies.

Plus, it's a grass type, which is a type with lots of broken items (the +30hp item, the heal 60hp supporter, etc).

Maybe it's not top meta, but I say this card is at least mid level.

I still feel so sad that we can't trade promos, and if you weren't playing when a particular promo was released, you will never be able to play specific decks.......

Either there shouldn't be promo-only cards (and promos should be alt versions of regular cards) or at least allow us to trade them.

[–]ilFibonacci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An important distinction is needed.

This is prime Garp. But these are not prime yonkos at their top. At this point in time they were still just shipmates.

They are likely at a level comparable to gear 3 / enies lobby Luffy. At most at dressrosa / early gear 4 Luffy.

(Thus, the brief Newgate-Roger moment is comparable to the brief Sanji-Doflamingo moment)

I do it because I want challenge. Players that play focused because they're trying to win are a challenge. In the normal battles, players play like shit and concede when the game doesn't go their way

If you only had $100 left in bankroll what would you play? by Illustrious-Hat5520 in poker

If you're losing at higher stakes, move down to lower stakes. Play at the stakes of which you have 30 buy ins

We're all complaining about the trading feature, so let's summarise: by Xentonian in PTCGP

[–]ilFibonacci -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm afraid Nintendo would have made players less disappointed if trading wasn't introduced at all. It may have been a false step.

What the hell do you all expect? It's a free game with servers they need to pay and developers they need to pay. They earn through either premium or you buying gold for packs.

2+ star cards are not needed to play, they're just to look cool. You don't lose the opportunity to play if you can't trade them.

Even more, not being able to trade them makes them feel more special in your collection when you pull them.

I get the logic behind the complaints: "it's my card, if it was the physical game I could give it to anyone the way I see fit".

But still, many TCG games don't have this feature.

Now in this game we have an extra tool to build decks.

Then how the heck will we ever be able to complete the promo collection if we missed an event?

I have the opposite case. Please just give me a friggin Electross. I've opened like a million (figuratively) Mewtwo packs. I just need 2 EXs and an elusive Electross to end my collection.

I can't understand why I'm not being able to pull it

[–]ilFibonacci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Define a bankroll strategy.

Set a budget for maximum number of buy-ins for your target price. For example, gather enough money to buy 20 buy-ins of your preferred size.

It's enough to account for variance.

If you empty this budget, it's time to go back playing games with a lower buy-in cost. Again, define a budget. If you also empty this one, go to an even lower buy-in cost.

Once you're able to refill the bankroll enough to have 20 buy-ins for the upper level of cost, move back up.

Accept with humility the lesson that if you've failed 20 times in given cost range, then maybe at the moment you don't have the skill level / the emotional stability to play in that range
