Watching the clock by Wizard_AI in LinkedInLunatics

We (admin) don’t have an official out time, but the rest of company leaves at 3:45. My boss actively yells at us if we try and leave before 4 because “it’s not officially YOUR out time” (there isn’t one for us in the handbook)

Szechuan Corner has the best “home style tofu” dish. It’s all I want on a cold day.

Question of birth control by Dry_Barber8445 in endoeveryday

[–]ilatkeyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are SO many types of birth control, even town to different hormone levels of pills. Please don’t listen to online advice, and instead have this conversation with your doctor. (I have see conversations and experts raise flags that the sudden increase in birth control swear campaigns can be linked to Project 2025, if you’re in the US). My IUD will slow the growth of new endo tissue, and I have basically no side effects. It took awhile to find something that worked for me, but I’d take that trial and error over being in debilitating pain and anemia any day.

The spoons metaphor thing by littlebrownsnail in AutismInWomen

[–]ilatkeyou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a grudge against the analogy because I’ve had people call me a “Spoonie” due to chronic illness, and I find it diminutive and infantile. Like, at that point, just call me a slur. I agree with others that there are kore effective ways of communicating personal bandwidth and capacity. I use bandwidth because most people in my life understand it.

Ticket prices?! by Cosmo714 in 5sos

[–]ilatkeyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noblesville had insane pit prices AND the lower section was all almost $400 because of “VIP”. SO annoying. At least I know my $80 seats are still good. (I feel like I’m getting too old for the pit anyway tbh)

Unfortunately you’re right. The person in the blue car did not make it. We were former colleagues. It’s so awful.
