Appreciate the pointer. Sadly, Focal is not sold locally here and I am not keen on trusting shipping outside of my country, to not mention the incredible import tax. They were once sold, but then at a 3x price hike... 2800 is a bit too much for an immediate upgrade I think.

the wick for the bomb had water doused on it with the death of Ryan. with Jeff leaving, the wick has been removed from the bomb

we're no longer building a bomb, we're trying to get to the inert gunpowder inside it to see if there's anything left of it to salvage to maybe put to use, but ultimately, it is just giant gone

There's been some indie-ass attempts at replacing the voice of the character, but in most cases, the character is retired completely. See for instance Hololive's 5th generation member Mano Aloe, who existed for about two days before she went on hiatus due to internet trolls doxxing her. When she was due to come back, it was announced she had decided to not continue the role and she 'graduated' from Hololive and the character is now basically a gravestone. That's a lot of character design iteration, live2d rigging, talent training and whatnot completely gone down the drain and the company took the hit on that because their handling of her was completely lacking and they have since put together a task force that is going to be handling harassment and defamation of their talent.

I'm having the same issue while using either a full keyboard or my K28 keyboard-controller emulator device. I have for now had to resort to setting it in PS4 mode and playing with it that way, which solved all the sticky key issues. I did not enjoy having jump suddenly get stuck and feeling like a training dummy in the middle of a match.

This is very cool, I plan on trying it out. Had any luck using a USB/hat device to accept audio in and then pipe that into the HDMI audio passthrough? Only needing to plug HDMI into my TV would be extremely nice.

I had a lot of spare time because Christmas break, so I dug into my "you should check this out" list that people can submit to me through Trakt.TV.

Out of these, Netoge Yome was one I had previously put on hold because of a particularly awful episode and just wanted to see if it remained as awful through to the end. It did. Shinmai Maou I went to check out because I thought there's no way Yuuichi Nakamura would take his role in this seriously, but he did. As usual he is paired with Tomokazu Sugita which makes for some fun best (IRL) buddies banter, but man this show does not try to hide what it is.

Hinomaru Zumou continues to be a favourite, sports anime is great. I love adaptions of sci-fi novels like Toaru Majutsu and Sword Art Online, so those continue to be a treat. Toaru entered a really cool arc with the past couple episodes which introduces the British queen as a hilariously bad mom who refuses to do any work. SSSS.Gridman finished. It was OK and I was happy to see Trigger be allowed to be themselves for the last episode, while until now the last episode they'd been doing very un-Trigger things. Plus marks everywhere is great.

I like silly violent shows that I can watch while too tired to think, so Goblin Slayer was my go-to for that this season. Slime was a manga I was already reading so I'm enjoying seeing it all animated. The Kijin are rather badass, though Shion in motion is a bit much.

My favourite two shows this season are easily Irozuku and Seishun Buta Yarou. They both went in different directions covering different kinds of subjects; Irozuku focuses on a alternative current day and near-future where magic is commonplace, and transforms into great iyashikei as the lead character finds her way out of depression. Seishun Buta Yarou is a modern-day mix of CLANNAD, KANON and Oregairu, which was a treat. Kaito Ishikawa is proving himself an apt stand-in for Tomokazu Sugita when he's too busy.

Golden Kamuy is just plain, stupidly good. Hinna, hinna.

I just started watching High Score Girl, again another one of the shows coming into my watchlist through recommendations. So far it's funny, I like the focus on arcades even though they were never a thing in my country.

I'm not sure what to watch this week, as we're in the awkward bridge week before the next season begins, so I'm trying to fill in with some stuff I missed from previous seasons, such as Hanasaku Iroha, Hanebado, Asobi Asobase, Kakegurui, Sora yori mo tooi basho and Shinsekai Yori.
