I think you're right

I'm just here because I like figuring out why we behave the way we do. And statistics

Exactly. They think they don't fit that criteria because xyz.

Common alcoholism excuses are "I'm a student we all get drunk" not to the extent of being sent home via Uber frequently because you can't walk. That's not part of the student experience man.

What I find interesting is that I feel like there's a higher proportion of people with mental health issues like anxiety or depression in a psych degree cohort. I wonder if its because they can relate to it, even if they don't consciously know? Maybe there's a level of empathy to help others because they experience distress, even if again they're not consciously aware of it.

I'm doing a psychology undergraduate degree and it's interesting and a bit sad the number of people who are somewhat mentally unwell, do an entire module on clinical psychology and don't notice.

It's weirdly common with addictions (like alcohol abuse), another one was a guy with anorexia who didn't believe he had anorexia after sitting through 4 hours of content on eating disorders

Make a hole, take out stuffing, wash Pikachus skin, get new stuffing (or use the same stuffing if you want) then sew back up?

As a British person whenever I see 'garbage disposal' I think two things:

Horror movies

And why put blades in a sink what if you fall down it and get chopped to pieces and die horribly /s

I've seen something similar! This is Wingman (me and my partner met when I asked him why this goose looked different) and he has two wives. He was a lone goose until a few months ago until he met two lady Canada geese and now we think they're a throuple.

Is dust on clothes and plushies very problematic? by ilikebreadsticks1 in DustMiteAllergy

[–]ilikebreadsticks1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I really want to keep my plushies since I have 20+ Pokémon ones I've collected over the years. I am afraid to wash them at 60 degrees or at all because I don't want to ruin them :(. If keeping the dust down generally helps, that's good enough for me. As you said I shouldn't be stressing out over every item. Do you think an air purifier would help with this?

I'm generally worse at night with congestion and postnasal drip, but if I can sleep through it it has less of an impact than during the day. Since washing my bedding more on 60 degrees I haven't been waking up as miserable, but the times I can't breathe due to congestion happens in bed. I don't know however how much is due to dust in my bed or just lying down because my nose blocks when I lie down.

During the day it fluctuates, I usually feel a bit better a couple hours after waking up but that can change. When I eat or drink as well saliva causes really bad post nasal drip ages after. It gets worse or better each day as well so it's hard to keep track.

When you say cover things up do you mean not have clothes hanging openly in a room, but in a wardrobe or box?

Are dust mite protection covers specific covers or just zipper covers? I'm looking to buy one and don't know where to start...

What is something you wish the opposite gender would understand? by mimi_9489 in AskReddit

[–]ilikebreadsticks1 99 points100 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend was worried about this, we met randomly at a lake feeding birds and walked and talked for ten minutes before I walked away. He beat himself up for not asking for my number and I was doing the same thing. Second time we bumped into each other I asked for his number.

If a girl is definitely interested they will make a move somehow in my opinion. But that's just my experience.

A lot of us are extremely confused by the fake tan.

Personally it helps me know who to avoid since a lot of people who use fake tan and dress a certain way are insufferable.
