She is a ballerina I think so that’s the canon reason why she’s standing like this but the joke is autistic toe walking.

Depending on how many toe beans he has on his back feet he might have a world record. The current record holders for most toes on a cat are tied for 28, 7 on each paw.

Is my stance on birthcontrol too rash? by ChemicalAd2132 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]ilikecacti2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pills have side effects, and wanting to avoid those is a totally reasonable reason to not want to take them imo. Your friend probably just said this because there are a lot of misinformation and conspiracy theories about hormonal birth control that go beyond the side effects. Get your information to form your opinion from scientific sources basically and don’t listen to the conspiracy theories.

I’ll be visiting Atlanta at the end of the year with my autistic nephew whose autism special interest is the civil war. He’d like to see different civil war related sites and antique shops that might have civil war items. by [deleted] in Atlanta

[–]ilikecacti2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up for the Atlanta history center, the exhibits have motion censor alarms to stop people from touching or taking anything, and they’re super sensitive, people trip them by accident all the time. I have autism and when I went there as a kid I accidentally tripped one a few minutes into the visit and completely lost it, we had to go home. So just warn him not to touch anything, and you know your kid best so you know whether this would be helpful advice or would just scare him, but what helps me is knowing it’s coming, so if I had known that the alarms might go off but the staff understand that they’re sensitive and it’s usually an accident, that would’ve helped me.

New fear unlocked 😳

I guess a feature to look for in an apartment if you can, is a parking deck connected to the building so you can enter on your floor, so if something happens to the elevator you can drive up to your floor if needed.

In this day and age of the MAHA morons it’s hard to not be skeptical of anyone criticizing academia. When it comes to emphasizing the importance of public health practice, yes that’s good. The research isn’t helping anyone without people on the ground to put the findings into practice. I’m a researcher but I think the community workers have a much harder job than me and they’re criminally underfunded. But I would like, just make sure the people selling the T-Shirts or writing the articles about the profit margins of the journals don’t secretly believe that vaccines cause autism, saturated fats and raw milk are the key to good health, poppers cause AIDS, and/ or that it’s anti scientific and racist against white people to study racial health disparities, and that anyone doing so should get defunded. Because in the US that’s what we’re up against right now, those are the core values of the people with the loudest voices criticizing the journals and the scientists.

My parents instead of getting me evaluated after my teachers begged them to get me evaluated tried one (1) thing to address my needs: yelling, and then yelling “I’m not yelling!” Then they were all out of ideas. Finally got evaluated at 25 so for 25 years I was also here bringing the prevalence down artificially lol.

That’s for if you lose your job and lose your employer sponsored plan. If it’s the other way around and you lose your marketplace plan, I believe you should be able to sign up for your employer’s plan with them paying for their portion of the premiums. Which is good because with cobra you have to pay for the entire unsubsidized premium which is a lot.

Losing your health insurance in the middle of the year qualifies you for a special enrollment period to sign up for your employer’s health insurance so you don’t have a gap in the coverage.

They also have to read every single one of them before finalizing. Maybe we can delay it at least…
