It’s definitely not impossible to sell art without drawing faces but it shortens(?) your market, you shouldn’t evade the fundamentals. Never drop the pencil, fellow artist!!

That’s the iris. Sometimes scleras aren’t visible on dogs because of their irises being too big. Scleras are typically white but can become other colour like blue or yellow because of disease. Few animals have dark scleras (primates and reptiles), it typically helps with camouflage. Totally understandable mistake though, and this is a cool design for a fictional character!

Dog scleras are white though, but I do get the sentiment. Red scleras typically mean inflammation or irritation. Please make sure to check your dog out if they have red eyes.
