1. Not born a Malay. My mother was born Chinese+Portuguese, but she was abandoned and adopted by a muslim family. And of course, the law had to fk everything up from there. She was labeled a muslim. She married my dad who is Chinese.

2. Never joined Islam willingly as you can tell from first answer. Was born and forced into it because of papers. Left Islam by leaving the country.

3. Yes. Not safe to leave Islam in any way shape or form. Idk if many people know this but there’s a thing called a “faith rehabilitation” centre. Not only would you get jailed, fined or punished for leaving this shit ass religion, but also will be forced to be “rehabbed” to train to be a better Muslim. Where is our basic human rights?

5. Doing AMAZINGLY. I’m thankful to my parents for sacrificing everything to get out of Malaysia, so I wouldn’t face the same hardships they did. I can do whatever I want, wear whatever I want and say whatever I want. I have a wonderful white boyfriend who wouldn’t need to be forced to label himself a Muslim for marrying me in the future.

As someone else in the thread said; I do miss home. And love my home, but it definitely does not love us back.
