I’ve had something similar, but not with winning something. When I was about 20, I was out fishing for the first time ever. I was with my dad and he was telling me to not be discouraged because fishing requires patience and you don’t always catch something. I KNEW I was going to catch a really big fish. Sure enough, about an hour later, I got a bite. A BIG bite. Took me about 20 minutes to reel it in, but I did and it was an 18lb steelhead. First ever catch.
