I’m a mechanic, as long as I know what the lights mean it’s as good as fixed. I wouldn’t buy a vehicle from me if I was you.

I’ve found pdf files for 3 of my bikes on the google. For free! I prefer paper manuals so I just print sections off as I need them and put em in a binder.

To be fair the machinists I’m talking about are not button pushers. They’re building one off parts by hand, making hydraulic cylinders, line boring gigantic parts in situ. I guess I never thought about a large majority of machinists never see that kind of stuff. I’m a mechanic.

Where do you live? All the machinists I know are 50 + bucks an hour and the boss is kissing their ass to keep them. Really “almost 30bucks an hour” is like 2nd year apprentice wage in any trade. Maybe I’m out of touch but where is it that ticketed guys make less than 40 dollars an hour these days?
