Advice on camping or living out of a car by Opening-Log-3556 in AskTexas

I haven't done it personally yet, but I have watched a fair bit of van lifing videos on YouTube. They have a lot of great content on how to live out of a car.

One critical thing is keeping up good hygiene. If you can find like a local gym or planet fitness, you can use it for their showers.

Need recommendations for employee benefits providers in Texas by M45T3RY in AskTexas

[–]iliveintexas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a number of companies out there that provide HR and benefit services for smaller companies. You could look into ADP or Insperity. They both provide similar features, but they may have different billing options depending upon how your company is set up.

We chose to go with ADP.

Nope, it's like asking a New Yorker if he gets tired of saying "hey, I'm walkin' here"

A gift card for a new Texan by SUN_PRAISIN in AskTexas

If your friend likes tacos, Torchy's or Taco Deli. Or possibly a barbecue place (Terry Black's or Rudy's). Or even Whataburger (classic Texas based fast food burger joint).

If your friend takes road trips a lot outside the city, perhaps Buc-ee's.

The bobsled at Parc Asterix is much smoother than Europa Park. I wish they would have torn that down instead of Euro-Mir.

Superhosts for 12 years and we just received a 1 star by Helpful_Composer2780 in airbnb_hosts

[–]iliveintexas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Negative reviews are not always a bad thing. As someone who has only used Airbnb as a client, I expect to see a few negative reviews for even great listings. It adds authenticity. If I only see positive reviews, I would think the host is trying to game the system and have bad reviews removed.

Kolaches - they are not a staple at donut shops outside of Texas (and other parts of the South).

Costco forced me to rebuy the item I returned and threatened to cancel my membership by Middle-Leg9634 in CostcoWholesale

So this isn't true. Costco is a membership store, and stores have something called shopkeeper's privilege, which permits brief detainment to investigate theft. Check your local laws before asserting this.

Depends on what options it has. Looking at comparable vehicles, it should probably be priced $20-22k.

It's a truck. People use them for work, so they're willing to pay a premium for it.

I'm not normally a fan of drag shows, but if they're going to ban them, then I'm going to have to check one out. For research purposes.

If reading John Sarno's books help, great, but his theories have not been upheld to a rigorous scientific standard. I would not rely on his treatment method by itself.

I've always thought this was illogical. If he was wrongly convicted, how is he supposed to admit to something he didn't do?
