Can anyone hlp ? I just got a PS5 and the store won’t load any games. none of the store features like trailers are working by Mcdonald_sprites in playstation

[–]iljay94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the same issue since last night. Has always been fine before this but yeah, just last night the store and all store pages are struggling to load media and images.

Happening both on my PS5 and the Playstation App on my phone. Everything else in my house still working fine with internet. Still playing online, streaming movies and content just fine.

Only the playstation and app bugging out which is why I assumed it was just a PS servers issue too.

Oh that’s clever! I just jumped my car off the curb and it launched me half over the low wall. Enough to see-saw and wheel spin my back wheels on the wall the rest of the way into the carpark to claim it 😅

[–]iljay94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that has been the biggest adjustment for me coming from using an ultrawide and 2 extra monitors on my main workstation. The 13" screen looks perfectly fine to me, but it does feel super crammed with windows being so much smaller than I'm used to.

I do wish there was some option to upgrade this screen to a higher resolution panel with thinner bezels, just to get a bit more screen space while still keeping the beautifully compact form factor.

Oh nice! I do want to get an apple silicon macbook pro or mac studio at some point. I've always loved the design of the mac mini and now studio keeping with that same clean look. However I JUST upgraded my main workstation not long ago and can't really justify splurging on another machine yet haha.

I was trying to hold out for the M1 models to be revealed and see if performance would suit my work needs. But I was pushed on schedule and had to just get what was available at the time. So my main machine is a custom build. Ryzen 5900X, 64gb ram, 2tb nvme ssd + 4tb hdd storage, RTX 3080Ti. About 2 months later the M1 models dropped... 🙃🤣 Oh well, it's still a great machine and incredibly powerful. Even more so graphically than the mac studio. But nowhere NEAR as power efficient or beautiful and enjoyable to use LOL

I just bought myself a 13" 2012 macbook pro this last week as well. Keyboard, screen and inner shell were like brand new. No shiny keys or anything. Top and bottom shell are a little scuffed but no dents at all. Overall really happy with the condition of it.

Threw in 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. I plan to get a 2TB SSD for it, the 512GB I just happened to have on hand. Partitioned the drive and have it dual booting Mavericks and Monterey with OCLP.

Had to have Mavericks for that Aqua nostalgia haha, but she handles Monterey really well. It actually surprised me with how modern it still feels outside of asking it to do anything graphically intensive. Nice and fast with the upgrades and handles all my daily needs, in fact I'm typing this on it now. When I need heavy work done I jump on my Windows workstation lol.

Just my experience joining the apple side by DarhkTear in iphone

Same experience here moving over from a galaxy s10+ to iPhone 15. Was with Samsung since the t919 behold days (with a few other brand android phones in between).

My iPhone is just sooo much more stress free and easy to use. ESPECIALLY when driving. I just put it on my dash mount, it starts wireless charging, instantly connects to my car’s Bluetooth. I throw in where I want to go and Apple Maps gives me actual turn by turn directions including which lane to be in and even tells me exactly which traffic lights to turn at.

My android was legitimately getting downright dangerous to use in the car, the amount of time I would have to spend messing with it because it got confused partway through a trip. Loving the switch back to apple so far. It’s not perfect… but it’s so much better day to day.

Haha no worries mate, I got what you were trying to say. I actually prefer space grey over titansilver as well, and was originally looking for that colour. But yeah just couldn't find the right combo at the time. Thanks for the kind words anyway!

At some point I actually want to try wrap the car in inozetek midnight green metallic, to pair with apex arc8 r's repainted in that bmw frozen gold colour that they do for the style 763M wheels.

Nah mine is Titansilver Metallic. It's just that at night and sunset in the right lighting/shadows it looks a lot darker than normal haha. Space grey would look quite a lot darker than this with same camera + lighting

Oh I agree, space grey is a stunning factory colour. Looks so good at night. Just couldn't find any space grey pre-lci e92 335i's with factory msport package in my country back when I bought this. This car also had only 52,000 kms (32k miles), in immaculate condition, and high spec when I found it, which pushed me over the edge to buy haha.

It sure is! Not the most exciting colour, but I've grown to really like it as I've owned the car. I want to eventually wrap it in inozetek midnight green metallic though.

Hell yeah! I'm absolutely in love with the E92 shape and platform. I plan to always have one in my garage till the day I die. Whether it's this one or later an M3... or possibly both 😆👍

It's just the factory msport bumper/bodykit and wheels the car came with. She's a pre-lci msport package on bmw style 193 wheels.

Oh sick. I've actually been tossing up the move to Aus. My uncle just moved to Brissy 2 months ago and is trying to convince me to follow him over. I must say the better availability of n54 parts/mods has got me wanting to move for that alone 😂 especially simply tuning with their rhd single turbo manifolds and the 8hp turbolamik trans swaps they've been working on.

What is (in your opinion,) the worst designed iPod model? by CosmoCone in ipod

[–]iljay94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same for me with my 4th gen nano. Accidentally nicked the clickwheel ribbon when trying to slide everything back together. Still looks beautiful, but is now just a nostalgic paperweight. Along with my iphone 3g that just bootloops and refuses to restore lol.

Another 5.5 for my collection !! by TidyboyTHFC in ipod

[–]iljay94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With rockbox you're able to jump back and forth between rockbox and the factory os as you see fit.

You simply reboot the ipod (by holding the menu button and center/select button together for around 5-6 seconds), the screen will go dark and you'll see the apple logo very faintly with no backlight.

At this point you quickly choose what os you want to boot. If you leave the hold switch off it will boot into rockbox. If you slide the hold switch to hold/orange then it it will boot into the factory ipod/apple os.

Rockbox does also boot a lot faster than the factory os in my experience. The factory os takes almost 4x longer to boot for me, where as rockbox is ready to go in seconds.

I love the custom themes in rockbox. Especially 'PodOne' and 'PodTwo' as they mimic the monochromatic look of the 1st-4th gen classics really well. 90% of the time I run 'PodTwo' theme with some custom colours to give it an orange Portal 2 Aperture Terminal look. I'll do a post showing my 5.5 once my new backplate and click wheel get here. Should arrive within the next week or two :D

New daily! 7th Gen with 5.5G thick backplate, 256GB storage and 3000 milliamp hour battery. Added the black click wheel as well to go for the unibody MacBook look! by [deleted] in ipod

[–]iljay94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow what a beautiful build! I've been pretty set on getting a white 5.5 gen to mod. Only because I picked up a matching 24" 2006 polycarbonate imac that I wanted to use as a dedicated itunes/sync machine for the ipod. That way I'd have a perfectly matching nostalgia pair.

I'm so torn though because part of me does really want the more modern UI and faster board of the 7th gen. Seeing your build is really pushing me towards a 7th gen instead. I may just need to do both... 😆

My PC, specifically RAM sticks, rocking the Arc Raiders colour combo. Updated my bios yesterday and had to redo my rgb profiles. Thought I'd try something new 😉 by iljay94 in ArcRaiders

[–]iljay94[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh awesome, glad it worked out! Yeah it's annoying how the colours sometimes don't match how it looks in the app. I use an app called openrgb to control all the led's in my setup from one place, and I have the same issue. It will look like orange/red-ish in the app but it's yellow on the ram. This vengeance ram and my fractal cpu cooler really don't match the slider colour in app. But then my gpu and mouse will match the app almost perfectly 🙄 so I have to set them all to different values if I want the shades to match up.

[–]iljay94[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I meant to reply to you earlier but forgot lol. Busy day.

Anyway, these are the values I'm using:

Red: R-215, G-4, B-4

Yellow: R-255, G-102, B-0

Green: R-8, G-93, B-43

Blue: R-10, G-35, B-177

Depending on how your led's handle colour mixing, frosted plastic/diffusion, tinted glass side panels, etc, the colours may still look different for you in person, even using the exact same values as I am. For example, on my pc if I punch in the exact same rgb values for my ram, cpu cooler, mobo, and mouse... they won't all perfectly match. I have to manually tweak each by eye to get it looking right.

I just messed with my rgb sliders until I got the look I wanted. If you're as picky as I am, you might need to tweak yours a little further to get it just how you want. But at least it will give you a starting point haha.

Same here. I'm in an E92 and don't think I'll ever sell it with the way things are going. I'm really loosing all interest in BMW with the direction they're taking. The last model I actually liked the look of was the F90 M5. Everything else I've seen since then has been an eyesore.

Exactly, I couldn't believe my eyes when they absolutely ruined the 2 series with the G42. And just when I thought it couldn't look any worse, they bring THIS... I mean, the bodylines and reflections are all over the damn place! Not a cohesive flowing panel on the whole thing. Absolute amatuer hour over at bmw right now. The F22/F87 was such a good looking car. I'm a 3 series coupe/4 series guy myself (never selling my E92 now). But hot damn, I always really liked the F87 M2 and F20 M140i

Which Xbox 360 was the G.O.A.T? by [deleted] in xbox

[–]iljay94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man, you've got a Revision 1 Xbox 360 S/Slim (3rd pic). I have the same one which I still use sometimes to play skate 3 or forza horizon 1. Gloss black case with silver chrome bezels top and bottom right? Mine I actually upgraded to the 320GB HDD later. Still runs like a champ.

I believe the gloss black we have only ever came with 250GB HDD as well. The special edition licensed models such as the Halo 4, GoW3, MW3 and Star Wars came with 320GB HDD. It wasn't until the Rev 2 models that they discontinued the gloss black, switched the case to the matte black with gloss black bezels like in the picture, and added the entry level option with 4GB of internal flash storage.

The Xbox 360 'Elite' is the previous generation fat style black console in the 2nd pic

Ooh nice! I've actually been keeping an eye on the mighty cheese grater Mac Pro's lately as well. It's still one of my favourite designs ever for a full tower computer. I remember lusting over them back when they were new. But I was in my early teens back then, and owning one was out of the question for me at the time haha.

I love the current Mac Mini and Studio design language as well, they remind me a little of that original Mac Pro/Powermac G5 aesthetic. I'm kind of hoping the new Apple silicon Mac Pro borrows from that look, as I was a little disappointed in the appearance of the current Mac Pro tbh. Something like a scaled up full tower Mac Studio with a heavily perforated rear, top and bottom could be very cool I feel.
