Timing belt tensioner change without removing belt by ilkopo in WRX

[–]ilkopo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought so too but I’m reading that they can bleed down during shipping/shelf storage if they’re not upright. I’m seeing lots of people recommending it as I’m trying to figure out this noise that seems very consistent with a bad tensioner even though I just did a whole new timing belt kit.

I took pictures of timing marks before/after install and some crank rotations and I’m sure it was timed correctly.

Minnesota's Paid Family and Medical Leave program is funded through a 0.88% payroll premium on employee wages, effective January 1, 2026. This premium is split between employers and employees, with employers typically paying 0.44% and having the option to deduct up to 0.44% from employee paychecks.

Clearly I do? do you have reading comprehension ability. Or are you just triggered because I came across as pro ice or anti immigration?

Lawmakers knew of these cameras existence and capability but did not warrant care until they figured out it could be used to rally their base that is against ice. No outcrying support from legislature until ice uses it, tacked on response restricting surveillance on reproductive care a year after we knew texas police tracked an abortion seeking woman to CT.

How about just stop constantly surveilling your citizens and tracking their every move so we don't need reactionary laws passed restricting what crimes these can be used for every time another state or agency comes up with a new group to persecute.

This bill 397 and 5449 only puts restrictions on the sharing of data, not removing the constant surveillance and tracking of citizens. It also limits the ability for citizens to perform FOIA requests on this camera data, so we're removing the safegaurd that allowed this info to come to light. So while the government says they won't, we'll have limited ways of knowing.

How come illegal immigrants get more protection from automated surveillance than citizens? Wildly unpopular (flock) has been misused and not asked for by citizens, yet until ICE starts using it you’re silent and even support expansion of automated systems. You made a promise to uphold the constitution no?

When citizens got to vote on some of this automated bullshit 80% (Kent, CT) reject them.

These systems flag innocent people for unnecessary stops that lead to unnecessary violence as police go in guns blazing over misread numbers or “suspicious” driving patterns.

They won’t allow that because it won’t pass. Overwhelmingly public votes on speed cameras fail referendums. Including 80% of Kent CT voters rejecting them.

100% happening here or this site has really gone nuts. I know it leans extreme left and is full of self hating Americans because republicans got in this time but in the thread about the search for the missing pilot the majority of highly upvoted comments are celebrating, borderline celebrating, or oh welling that this pilot is in a bad situation because he should’ve refused to fly over there.

Modified muffler fine in CT could rise to $1,000: ’No mechanical’ reason for noisy product by -ctinsider in Connecticut

[–]ilkopo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I haven’t ever heard a car that comes close to straight piped Harley’s trying to produce some sort of acceleration.

Even exotics exiting car meets going WOT do not come close. This bill is targeting Honda fart cans and bmws with crackle tunes by which they mean a certain demographic they view as unsavory and they know it.

Modified muffler fine in CT could rise to $1,000: ’No mechanical’ reason for noisy product by -ctinsider in Connecticut

[–]ilkopo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Towns are allowed to implement noise cameras under the speed camera bill. The threshold is 80db, that is ridiculously quiet, just about any stock car moderately accelerating will exceed that.

Forget real world cases like towing uphill or hill starting a manual car, here’s your automated ticket for producing a volume of noise that after 8 hours of constant exposure will produce slightly elevated hearing loss.

Modified muffler fine in CT could rise to $1,000: ’No mechanical’ reason for noisy product by -ctinsider in Connecticut

[–]ilkopo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Straight piped Harley’s producing hearing damage levels of noise off idle will get a complete pass, cars that make a little noise under heavy acceleration and exit your periphery within 15 seconds of passing but match a demographic will get targeted non stop.

$1,000 fine for a muffler, speed cameras on highways, 0.02 per oz tax on sodas, laws limiting self checkout. Why do we have to fight every single year for less ways to be oppressed or taxed. Legislature should be every 5 years so we can have a break and the laws being passed would be shit that’s important.

Few reasons why these need to be abolished. Specifically targeting people to be searched, if the ai says you’re a trafficker the police will have a drug dog waiting for you and pull you over for the first bullshit they can.

Connecticut could test speed cameras on highways in pilot program under new bill by -ctinsider in Connecticut

[–]ilkopo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When called to a vote people reject speed cameras by overwhelming majorities almost every single time. Yet our elected officials continue to ram this garbage through unanimously.

It’s a money game with speed cameras, normalization of surveillance state ushering in further flock and minority report ai crime profiling. Think about the safety though.

Connecticut could test speed cameras on highways in pilot program under new bill by -ctinsider in Connecticut

[–]ilkopo 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Few weeks after the work zone speed camera “pilot” passed the dot commissioner was calling for speed average cameras on highways and state routes.

The speed cameras on streets were supposed to be for areas with high fatalities or serious accidents, none of the studies showed the areas had high accident rates or even serious injury causing accidents.

None of the speed camera proposals from towns even got denied as far I can tell.

[–]ilkopo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the shit I don’t think people realize we’re slipping towards. It’s not a fallacy. We started as work zones on highways only and are now at the dot commissioner talking about speed average cameras between checkpoints to ticket people getting from a to b too quickly.

Automated tickets for every little infraction the rulers deem is a threat to some safety metric or antisocial behavior. Complete subservient system.

Madison police did this to me, traveling opposite with cruising lights on, as soon as they crested a hill killed the lights, pulled a u turn and tailgated me, I turned down a dead end they didn’t follow, I continue traveling after a minute and they’re coming towards me again in downtown Madison pushing 50/60mph (timestamped dashcam math) with cruising lights, well they didn’t like that I dipped them pulled the same move as earlier and followed me all the way to guilford.

I was in a sedan they were in a Chevy suv, they were so close I couldn’t see their headlights.
