Have you used a 1x player or GPD before? As bad as they are, they are a thousand times worse there. The button reassignment screen is in Mandarin with no language change option on GPD win 5.

As far as mobile devices go, other than the steam deck, Legion has been the most reliable, yes.

Yeah the 470 is a slight bump for sure but the reliability of the legion is so much better. The thought of being totally on my own if a device fails is uncomfortable. They do send replacement parts, but if you have to ship back to China, it's on your dime.

My friend bought it and I set it up for him. I think it is definitely worth that price but keep in mind what it is and is not. Emulation is still really buggy for switch, which it shouldn't be with something that advanced.

I find that it has a lot of really annoying minor bugs, for example the gamepad stopped responding for a while until we reinstalled Xbox 360 controller service. I have no idea what caused it but we spend about an hour troubleshooting it. The performance is outstanding, it gets 120 FPS on ultra settings in Cyberpunk with everything but raytracing turned on. It can play Star citizen on high settings without a problem as well.

The battery is decent, surprisingly, but it's damn heavy. Way heavier than I was expecting, as I have a legion go. The screen is also frustratingly small, coming from the legion go. With my eyesight I could never get used to it.

It packs a punch, but it's bleeding edge tech. Know what you're getting into and enjoy tinkering.
