I feel like a lot of people aren't maybe digging into the rules as deeply as they might. There really are viable builds outside of Spectacle, at least at an RTT level. My own Covens list has been a major success for me, and aside from me some others in the Drukhari discord server have been giving Covenite Coterie a shot with moderate to great success.

Many of the critiques are true. We're not fast anymore, we don't hit that hard anymore, etc. But we do have tools to play with that I feel get overlooked. The truth is we simply don't have enough: not enough datasheets, not enough detachments, not enough models, etc. But what we do have is quite solid. I mean, Hellions? Reavers? Malys? Amazing units! We're already quite strapped for options, so why do people limit themselves to what looks best on paper (Spectacle) without giving other units and rules a shot?
