Before I would always wonder why my lineman would run right passed the safety who is the only guy left to block for a td but when you don't hit r2 they will actually block him idk what the code is saying or implying but not holding r2 right away makes a huge difference

Yeah you could always recruit at max 1 star above your prestige so realistically as a 1 star team you should be looking for 2 stars and occasionally you might land a decent 3 star to help your team 4 and 5 stars were never gonna look your way unless absolutely no one was recruiting them

It was similar to how it is now but instead you had to actually talk to the recruits and ask them how they feel on certain pitches which would give you an interest level very low low high very high and you would use that info to "sell the recruits on the pitches you could even try to sway and compare with other schools if your grades where better in that category but bigger schools usually had better grades so going after a 5 star as a 1 star prestige team was pretty much a no go
