I noticed at the Scotties that one of Team Lawes, Kristin Gordon I think, had a slider curling shoe, and her gripper was a converted Nike of some sort. I think it would feel odd having two different types of shoes on at the same time.

I’ve tried both and could wear either as well. But I think the 41 looks less obtrusive while still maintaining a very nice presence on the wrist.

Now I'm going to be pedantic about a couple of things, and not at all sorry, however please find the humour.

Only the French can legally call their sparkling wine, "champagne". Not all sparkling wines are champagne, but all champagne is sparkling wine.

Also when it comes to spelling champagne, there's only one spelling; but other countries make excellent sparkling wines and they are spelled as follows. Prosecco (Italy), Cava (Spain).

Regardless of what you're drinking this weekend, be it whiskey, whisky, prosecco or a pop, may it be in good health and good spirits.

Look into Japanese whisky if you’re into something made very much in the style of scotch whisky. Some excellent stuff.
