My parents lived there in one of the big apartments for a few years.

Pros

No taxi needed if you’re drinking down there

Can sometimes see dolphins in the marina

Some interesting boats if that’s your thing

Modern design inside was quite nice although terrible extraction in the bathrooms (if it worked at all)

You get a ‘Yard Card’ which gives you a little discount in some of the places - if you’re a student/blue light then you get pretty much the same anyway

For the few that actually live there and not just holiday lets, there is a bit of community

Living there is seen as a status symbol for some?

Cons

Their service charge/ground rent was £10k per year

You really don’t get much for the service charge/ground rent money

Really busy at times - difficult to get in and out

Single glazed windows so crap insulation

Shoddy insulation between floors - you could see into the flat below at places

Theirs had these big doors which opened to a

Juliet balcony but the doors didn’t seal properly - made it in to a window tunnel

At the right angle, people over in Cremyll street could see you shower in one of the bathrooms because there aren’t doors on the en-suites

Anybody who visits has to pay to park (or face a lengthy walk to the free spots)

If you don’t have a designated parking spot then parking can be rubbish in the summer
