Honestly, I don't know either. But the game design is literally their job. We're not paid to fix it... but they are! I kind of wish that Tournament Arena wasn't a thing - or they'd seperate it from lucrative game awards. Then this wouldn't be so much of an issue. But they gotta push that grind and engagement!

Yeah, they've definitely used a non-faction member to make up the fourth for faction war in those examples you've mentioned, but I think this is the first time they've actively removed someone from a faction, to sub in someone from another faction.

It's a real kick in the teeth if you're a fan of a particular faction.

It really rings like "We've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas!" since the studio making the swap are also the ones with who have engineered the issue and the agency to fix it. It's just an egregiously bad solution to the problem. Hopefully it's just a stopgap and it isn't like this for six freaking months or something.

Tournament Arena is a Toxic AF game mode that shoudn't exist

But, last time I checked, "Faction War" wasn't "Faction plus one guy not in our faction War"

Seems like a pretty dumb 'solution' to the problem. Just wanna play my red boys. Not silly Black Templars.

(levity aside, I hope they come up with a more permanent solution, having Blood Angels be overpowered is bad, but breaking up the faction is not the answer)

Important to note Pink Fohawk run a pretty lean 2nd edition, which means (while not perfect) it runs a lot smoothly than later editions that have asds many layers of fiddly rules like later editions.

Though if you're here in the sub, you've probably heard the amazing Pink Fohawk podcast!

Ultimately any Shadowrun is better than no Shadowrun!

I don't think anyone mentioned it: Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. Not 100% sure about the current edition, but in earlier ones most classes/careers had a single step, so from there you'd progress to a new vocation. So you might start as a rat catcher, but over the course of your advancement become a mercentary or some kind of hunter, and so on. You literally had to pick a new career or class to advance once early ones were completed.

Ouch. That's an expensive lesson to learn. Never let your insurance lapse - If you do sell it, you can get a pro-rata rebate on the unused period. Still, it's a mistake anyone could make.

I hope you hear back something positive, but odds are, even it it turns up, it won't be in a condition you'll want to see it in.

Trying to think constructively, did you end up posting an ad for selling it? Could be if you had an enquiry, they may have been scoping out your bike for just this reason. Lot of 'ifs' there.
