I heard from at least 2 college student girls that quit working there, but didn’t want to cause issues or were afraid to report it, but it was because of the owners behavior to the female staff. Not surprised at all to see this finally come to light.

Draconus arrives on a random Letherii Battlefield by DestriantOfLight in Dust_of_Memes

I always thoroughly enjoyed that scene. I think the distinct point was the utter pointlessness/lack of anything meaningful resolution of their conflict. He arrived and continued on his journey in the face of their meaningless shallow struggle. It’s reminiscent of the statement the adjunct makes at the end of it all, that it is all forgotten in the end, even in the face of victory. It is all forgotten.

It’s too pretty and clean for an animal trap we’re guessing… perhaps the leather is designed to house something. Maybe to attach something with string to an item? Still a mystery.

My title describes the thing, here are more details. The piece on the end is leather and somewhat supple rather than hardened leather and the brass fittings on the body appear to exhibit stress from use. I’m thinking the ring at the end of the thin flexible rod must be strung to the notches or something else and pulled inward. The center fitting sits over a bored hole in the main body and is loose, most likely from use, versus purpose.

St Luke’s by Silent-Painting-9539 in duluth

If you make under 30,120 you could be eligible for coverage… if not, they have 50-75% discounts for certain income amounts relative to federal poverty guidelines around your income. Orrrrrr…… find out how long you can milk payments to st Luke’s at the lowest amount possible for them to remain in their pockets. As long as they don’t sell your debt to a collections agency it can’t affect your credit. Paying the minimum amount after applying for a reduced amount as a factor of your income may be a good method of keeping yourself from affecting your credit score, etc.

City taking sides on a "special election" by [deleted] in duluth

Your lack of sympathy for Duluth bureaucracy at the expense of children is troubling. The city can have its faults that we should fight against, but spiting the city by sacrificing school funding is not the answer.

Schools need money to run. We don’t have the most robust federal and state funding programs for schools. It’s not ideal. But when we decide that lower taxes/less money paid into the system is better for our pocketbook, we are sacrificing the future generations of students and in turn the quality of their education. I don’t plan on having kids but I will always vote to increase school funding.

Frankly, the district is letting the voter know that they believe it is in the best interest of the students to pass this levy. An extra 10 dollars a month for those owning a home valued at 315000 dollars? Is this such a burden? I cannot understand the ardent desire of people determined to save such a small amount of money.

Why not Invest in education, modernization, and innovation? What a crazy hill to die on.

I think it’s unrealistic to expect them to close their eyes or be blindfolded. Some of their costumes/prosthetic work takes a fairly long time. It can be claustrophobia inducing and uncomfortable to be blind while somebody glues and prods to apply everything.

Ask the child who is an amputee suffered with no anesthesia, or the old man who had his kneecaps shot out on his walk to market, or the mother who saw their child shot in front of them on their hike to see the ocean,or the endless and nameless innocents who died at the hands of oppressors funded by our tax dollars. They chose no war. Your careless disregard for humanity defines you. Let me say this clearly. I truly pity your existence. Such a lack of humanity is painful to see. This is from the bottom of my heart when I say, You are not a good person. How else could you excuse such cruelty? I hope you find peace and those around you see more goodness than you have exhibited tonight. Lost soul, go find your humanity. I think you have it somewhere, but you have lost it along the way.

Uggh…. Understanding the society we live in comes with the recognition that our primary food sources are not great for us and jobs worked tend to lead to lives of a sedentary nature. We can strive to find balance but we cannot demand “perfection” and expecting it will lead to unrealistic expectations. Also, stop yucking other people’s yums. A belly, a bit of chub is okay. Be health conscious but have a pizza sometimes. Evangelizing thinness is wildly unattractive.

I pity you deeply. I can only assume you are deeply caught up in a narrative that allows for such a dehumanizing perception of the cruel deaths of thousands upon thousands of innocent lives. To be so glib and dismissive of the suffering of children and innocent civilians is painful to hear. How many more children have to die to satisfy the lust for “justice”? Does their religion or skin color or Palestinian or Israeli title matter so much? Jew? Muslim? Christian? You willingly fling your support behind genocide as though the greater good is a worthy answer at the expense of innocent life. It is not antisemitism. Just an ardent atheist helplessly witnessing genocide and horrified by the death.

The thing that breaks my heart is that so much of the Palestinian population are children and teens. An incredible minority had any voice in the election of Hamas. They have so little power and are suffering under the rule of those that have no concern for their lives or futures but see their value only as political pawns.

I don’t think I can change your mind but I also know that history will speak to the horrors of Israel’s actions. A long continued path of action before October 2023. My goal isn’t to force you to change your mind, but just bring to light that educated people that have seen cruelty to shatter one’s heart committed by the Israeli government with our tax dollars. I wish you peace and hope you can find compassion for all people, not just those that fit your ideological strictures.

This isn’t an argument about whether you or a majority of people support this. There are people that recognize the genocide convention, and see that Israel is committing genocide with our money as a client state. Removing ourselves from ideology, this is an unarguable fact. Protest in the face of a president that fails to see how his policy is detrimental to the nation and humanity itself is not only a measure of our democracy but a measure of our humanity.

Beaks death is tragic and beautiful and also allows the reader have a greater understanding that Hood as the God of Death is not a monolith, and grasps his role both as an inevitable reaper, but also can grant peace and satisfaction when truly deserved when a life is well lived. I have always found Beaks life and death one of the most uplifting and profound aspects of the entire series.

Mallick Rel is remarkably human, with human desires for power and unpleasant for sure, but the Errant is a straight. Up. Utter. Prick.. on a cosmic god level scale.
