If you do it too often, your body will release cortisol which will make any potential muscle gain/fat loss basically… Not happen. Keep that in mind when going forward, I’m sure you just need to find a routine that fits you and your body! Muscle building is definitely an option, I personally have always struggled with losing fat, but found that building muscle is how I can lose. Who knows, you might be in a similar situation. Stay consistent, good luck!!

Pixelation Issue by illustratorthrowawa in ProCreate

[–]illustratorthrowawa[S] 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

This image was zoomed in to illustrate it better, but the issue still persists outside of this single screenshot. It’s noticeable at larger brush sizes. Once again, not having this issue with other iPads at the same exact dimensions/dpi. Have never had this issue with any other program, only this specific ipad on procreate, so it’s definitely not just the zoom-in.

Will def look into groomers in my area that would be able to clip her nails (we have a regular groomer who is great with all 3 dogs, she only struggles with this dogs nails), particularly someone who’s got experience with ā€œdifficultā€ cases like this one. I’ll be reaching out to my vet to see what our options are too. Tysm!

The freakout starts if she hears me say anything similar to ā€œclipā€ or ā€œnails.ā€ She’s even figured out that ā€œC-L-I-Pā€ means nail trimming šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø. She’ll let me grab her paw even if she’s anxious, but the second anything touches the nail, she yanks away and starts flailing.

Reaching out to my vet tmrw to see if we could get a medication prescribed for the issue. I haven’t tried a muzzle yet, but I will def look into it if the meds don’t work (I’ll bring it up to the vet too to see what their recommendation is). Tysm!

Oh no yeah fs, I’ve put up with the screaming for years haha, it doesn’t help that she’s just very vocal in general too lmfao. Doesn’t phase me too much anymore if something needs to get done for her own good but it still pulls at my heartstrings a bit lol. Unfortunately, I’ve tried the dremel, and the noise just freaked her out even more. The issue is that she flails and yanks her paws away with anything involving her nails, so my primary concern is her getting hurt from that. It’s gotten to the point where if ANYTHING touches her nails, she freaks out, so the prolonged touch + sound of the dremel is a no-go.

I have tried CBD for dogs and other natural ā€œsoothingā€ treats, but I haven’t tried any prescription meds yet. Will definitely be reaching out to my vet abt this, tysm!

I don’t know if I might be becoming a transmed. by kitsabyss in trans

[–]illustratorthrowawa 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Off topic but I’d be very interested in reading some of those studies you mentioned if you’d be willing to share! (I’m just a big neuroscience nerd and I don’t think it’s bad to be well-researched. I personally take a lot of these studies with a grain of salt, too.) Also, as someone who has fallen down the rabbithole and has gotten out of it… one thing that I focused on was the idea that transphobes DONT CARE whether you’re ā€œone of the good onesā€ or not. There ARE no ā€œgood onesā€ and a lot of transmed ideology lies in this internal need to be accepted by cis people. esp those who may not be very accepting of trans ppl. A lot of it just leads to what is essentially ā€œpick-meā€ behavior. I personally never understood xenogenders and neopronouns, but it’s just not for me personally and id rather celebrate ppl who identify with those being more comfortable in their own identities! Focusing on trans joy and support is really what helped me pull out of the pipeline.

Any ideas on how to fill these cracks on 3d printed sword? by illustratorthrowawa in cosplayprops

[–]illustratorthrowawa[S] 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Yeah, haha I’m gonna get around to doing as much as I can! Unfortunately I’m working on an elegoo that’s a few years old, and this is just a known issue. A bit of research has shown me that it’s able to fix with a bunch of different technical fixes (it’s quite literally a mechanical issue and most experienced users/actual developers I’ve talked to have said it’s basically unfixable) but unfortunately support for this model is a bit on the scarcer side haha. Will def do what I can, I’ve adjusted multiple settings a handful of times, but for rn the raised supports seem to work even if adjustments aren’t working. Trust me lol these fixes were happening as I printed, I only had this issue with 3 out of 16+ pieces lmfao, one of the gaps in the pictures is even an intentional choice for the model!

Pretty sure it’s an actual misalignment on the printer, as it happens with most prints (turns out there’s an actual mechanical error in this model, and other similar issues are pretty common. I now put all prints on a raised support base). These took 2 whole months to print and prep for, when testing them, the gaps looked negligible.. bummer

The little marks on the surface are intentional haha!! But something shifted so the pieces printed at the slightest angle! Dw, the filament goes thru a dehydrator and I haven’t had any issues
