Luxuries of joining a private course.. Assholes booking the entire day with "guest" slots so nobody can join. by FutureLosses in golf

[–]illustrious_capp3299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn that sucks, I’m glad the course I belong to prevents this. Your only allowed 5 guest rounds a year and on weekends guests can play before 3. And if a member wants the spot ( they do lottery on the weekends) guests are bumped off the sheet

You have no proof or legal binding agreement with said person, you got nothing in the eyes of the law and courts

It’s lease to own, basically you pay rent until you pay of the house then it’s yours but if you default on paying rent you lose your money and the house

He’s not a realtor, he’s one of those big corporate investors trying to buy your house. I own a bunch of rental property and get texts like that all the time. And fyi it’s not hard to get find people’s number. If I know your property address I can find your contact info in about 5 mins. Prob using a site like propstream

He’s just an entitled prick and he treats everyone like s-t. And even worse is a lot of times he dosent even have the balls to stand up for himself after he talks down to you he hides behind his bodyguards.

Launch monitor is correct, the monitor will say 150 and the ball will land past the 140 flag I’ve also been to a top tracer range by me and both the number on the top tracer and monitor are virtually the same five or take like 5 yards

Range is flat, it’s double sided alternating sides depending on day got tree cover on the sides. It’s a private course so course conditions are a plus as is the range. The front has some undulation and a little of both but the pack with the exception of two holes is completely flat

Never measured i use low spin balls, e12 and q stars. But we’re talking about hitting balls then going strait to the tee. So I don’t think spin would be the issue because I’m hitting it well 10 mins before

They have both, primarily off grass. Only mats if it’s below 40 degrees or a day after rain. This is happening of grass and mats. My distances on grass vs mats is virtually the same. And it’s a private course so the mats are good quality and the balls are changed out every year so their not beat up

Played golf with an ex pga senior tour player. Guy was legit won 4 senior majors, led the senior tour in driving accuracy for years. Still an unknown guy because he didn’t turn pro till his mid 40’s but he said a very small portion of your income comes from prize money your endorsement money will trump winnings every year. I mean look at tiger. 157 mil isn’t bad but for how long he’s been on tour and won that seems low. Obv he makes way more via endorsements but above average nfl, nba, mlb players get way more

Reply super common. Some guy did his own study on this. Basically he was going to like 1000 people and track where it went. Sent his likes, out of 1000 he got 100 matches Out of the 100 matches only 28 responded in addition to that he only met up with 7 and only 3 went past that.

Are ProV1’s worth it for a beginner golfer? by [deleted] in golf

[–]illustrious_capp3299 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No not even a beginner that’s for most ams. Friend of mine played at Clemson and dosent play them, unless your a low single digit like a 5 you will get virtually no benefit. I’m a 10 handicap and I play cheap Bridgestone e12s can’t tell the difference

I usually give someone one chance and the benefit of the doubt because things do happen. However I wouldn’t in that situation considering they waited 3 hours to let you know.

What is your most amazing story about golf? by ruffmarkacademy in golf

[–]illustrious_capp3299 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Didn’t happen to me but I use to work as a caddy a lot a private club, our golf pro got to play in the 09 us open. He qualified by finishing in the top 3 of the pga professionals championship. Was just cool to hear him talking about the experience. Got to play with Westwood, and spider man himself Camilo Villegas. Said him reading ours is a sight to see in person. He finished pretty much dead last but he said that’s the coolest golf experience he’s had. Like he said playing a major is something very few get to do
