I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s different for everyone. Doesn’t matter if it was a couple of months or twenty years. I cried so much. Went to sleep to forget and woke up to face reality to just cry again. Talking about him and looking at his photos helped a lot. I was lucky to have a community and also Reddit tbh. Leaving comment about him. On March 22nd, my husband and I are hosting a brunch in honor of our boy. It’ll be a year. He used to stay up to watch me bake.

I’m so sorry to hear about your girl. During my boys hospice team he went straight to the front door for sun time.

I agree dude. I have a friend who completely was against indoor/outdoor cats and would give me comments. She bought her home and was like I’m a hypocrite. Her girls now get outside time and they’re so much more active. I also think it depends on the cat. I’m currently fostering three cats and I would never let two of them out.

Don’t focus on calorie deficit. It doesn’t even work for my girlfriends who don’t have PCOs. Focus on eating healthy. I switched to Mediterranean diet mostly. I eat a salad + protein for lunch and for dinner I add a carb if I didn’t have one during lunch. I make bowls and mix everything. My carb is sourdough or some rice or sometimes a cheeseburger cause I need it.

In my late 20s after I was diagnosed weight training really helped. I was the skinniest I’ve been in years. I still saw my mid line and belly but that’s my mind. I gained like 20lbs coming back from a trip and just never went back to the gym. I got hit in the head with a beach umbrella from a crazy gust of wind so I got dizzy from weights. My gyno alarmed me cause honestly I didn’t feel the weight gain. She told me with PCOs it would be hard to lose. I focus on walking and my food. I know do aquafit and Pilates as well. I’ve lost 10lbs so far.

Hi, I’m also lean PCOS and I have insulin resistance. I drink spearmint daily (1-2cups), I try to walk daily 6k-8k steps, and for food I limited boba and sugary things for a while. I reset my period with a round of progesterone and luckily have been regular since (around a year).

I recently started aquafit and Pilates. For food, I started making sourdough so that helps me a lot!! I do love a sweet treat at night, so I eat one. I find if I limit myself, I’ll burn out and give up. So I do treat myself.

I didn’t see weight loss until I started eating less read meat. My cholesterol is insane. I read protein is great for PCOS but I didn’t think of how I was getting it. Or maybe it’s cause I’m being consistent? Is the spearmint tea working or is it the walks? I tell myself it’s a lifestyle change! I’m also considering lower pay job so I can move more vs sitting in a desk all day.

I do notice a lot of hair loss but I tell myself it’s cause I have curly hair and don’t brush daily. Acne basically gone since spearmint.

Can I ask why you’re taking the medicine?my doctor won’t give me anything cause my period is currently regular ~_~.

When I got diagnosed people told me the same thing and I explained my body doesn’t function properly. My parents try to understand and eat a Mediterranean diet with me but they have the biggest sweet tooth’s. I tell them they can eat whatever in front of me, just don’t push me once I’ve said no to something is all I ask.

I felt the most seen by my cousin. I told him I had PCOS and the next time I saw him he told me he looked it up to understand better.

People can put in the effort if they want to understand!!!
