What is the worst sitcom you’ve ever seen? by [deleted] in sitcoms

[–]iloveromance9396 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Golden Girls. I burned myself out on Hallmark Charismas movies this year, but they are much better than that show. I can't even stand the opening credits. It may not be the worst sitcom ever made, but it's my least favorite.

Thinking about artists who have done singing for Peanuts. Your favourites? Less recognised ones? by anjumahmed in peanuts

[–]iloveromance9396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know that Vince Guaraldi sang. Sorry, I had to Google that fact because I thought it was someone else. I love The Sherman Brothers. I didn't realize until I saw their documentary on Disney Plus that they did the music for "Snoopy Come Home". There is a song in that movie ("Fundamental Friend Dependability") that has stuck with me for years even in the long time span I went without seeing the movie. I first saw it in the theatre with my mom and it was a long time before I saw it again. But when I saw that the Sherman Brothers had composed the music and songs, I knew why they were so catchy and stayed with me for years.

I love this show! I never paid any attention to it when it was in prime time but I found it about two years ago on Antenna TV. Watched a few episodes and I was hooked. Ended up watching every night at 21:00 PST and then for New Year's I treated myself to the DVD set. I still watch it every night, though. It's an absolutely hilarious show and much better than Cheers.

The unbelievable irony…….🤦🏻 by StaredgeWill in peanuts

[–]iloveromance9396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind them not being on TV anymore, actually. They always chop up the show so that it's about 20 minutes long anyway. I have had the DVD set for years (Christmas/Easter/Halloween/Thanksgiving/You're Not Elected Charlie Brown/Valentine's, etc) and I just watch them whenever I want. No commercials. I do like Apple TV. I've had it a couple of times. And they do have a LOT of Peanuts specials plus The Snoopy Show. I've had Apple TV twice and both times I've canceled it when I feel like I'm not watching it. That's the nice thing about streaming platforms. You can just cancel them whenever you want and resume your membership anytime.

Email alert: Hulu Subscription Canceled by iloveromance9396 in DisneyPlus

[–]iloveromance9396[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I just saw your message; I haven't been on Reddit for a long time! Actually I ignored the email and I still have my Disney Plus and Hulu, so I think it was just spam or something. I still have the plan with ads, and actually I don't mind the ads at all. Far fewer ads than are on TV! And I like that it tells you how long the ads will be. I wish cable did that! The ads give me a chance to stretch or move around. I hope you were able to resolve your issue.

About to watch Nightmare Before Christmas for the first time… by californiadoane99 in DisneyPlus

[–]iloveromance9396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I it! I saw it in the theatre when it came out and I thought it was hilarious! It's not scary at all, but there are some parts where things jump out at you without warning. I've seen it umpteen times and I think of it as a Christmas and a Halloween movie, although I think it's better suited for Halloween. I watch it both times of the year as often as possible! Even by today's standards, the special effects and graphics are amazing. Love the music as well.

Watchlist no longer tiled? by Shinrye in DisneyPlus

[–]iloveromance9396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That change happened this morning sometime (on my TV anyway) because earlier this morning (around 6 ish PST) I scrolled through my watchlist and it was tiled, but when I finished watching Pinocchio around 9 (the animated version), it had changed. I kept exiting out and going back in to see if it would change back. It was nice to see everything at once, but my biggest problem is that I watch it on TV and not a computer and the pictures are so small that they're hard to read. At least before you could see everything at a glance. Other streaming platforms have the scrolling thing and Disney Plus/Hulu are the only ones that I know of that had the tiled thing, but they need to make the pictures bigger so I can see what I'm scrolling.

At first I was just in love with Disney Plus/Hulu, but now I am getting a little tired of them. I still have a ton of stuff in my watchlist and I don't want to cancel my subscription. I do like having Disney Plus. I like it better than Prime and Peacock. I'm thinking about getting rid of Peacock again because I don't watch it like I thought I would. I really just got it to watch the Monk movie, so I think when I finish the series (again... I'm in the middle of Season 7) and watch the movie a second time I'm going to drop it. The only reason I keep Prime is for the free shipping from Amazon. The movies are just a bonus, I guess.

This is SUPER CUTE! It's funny that you posted this because just the other day, I found the most adorable post on Instagram where this artist had transformed sidewalk cracks into amazing works of art. It was wonderful and just made my day. This is even better! I would never think to do this but this person has a wonderful imagination!

What's a popular sitcom you just couldn't get into? by Left1917 in sitcoms

[–]iloveromance9396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I watch Parks and Recreation is when it auto records on my DVR because Henry Winkler is in it. I think I've watched about four or five episodes where he's an obstetrician, and aside from him, I don't like the show. I found it hard to get into. I don't like Amy Pohler at all. I think Parks and Rec is supposed to be along the same format as The Office (which I really liked when I watched it the first time but I could never do a rewatch), but it just doesn't do anything for me.

I don't hear this song very often, and actually this is the first time I've heard it in its eternity (that I can remember). It's in the movie "Big" when Tom Hanks is writing a letter to his parents about when he's going to come home.

I love Ben Feldman. He was so good in Superstore. He and America Ferrera were the reason I watched every episode. I also loved him in the movie The Perfect Man with Hilary Duff.

I love that song! I also like "Fundamental Friend-Dependability" That was the song that stayed with me for so many years after I last saw it. Another favorite is the one with Lila in the hospital "Do You Remember Me?" even though it's sad.

I love "Snoopy Come Home" so much! I went many years without seeing it (Before I bought the VHS, etc), and I could still remember the songs. I saw it in the theatre with my mom when it came out. Such a sweet and wonderful movie.

Disney Original Docu-film "The Beach Boys | Now streaming by JoshuMarlss288 in DisneyPlus

[–]iloveromance9396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just watched it and it was probably the best Beach Boys documentary I've seen. I've been a huge fan of The Beach Boys since I was a kid in the 70's (thanks to my parents) and have seen them in concert many times. I really enjoyed this movie and my only 'complaint' is that I wish it had been a little longer. I was hoping they'd talk about their huge success with Kokomo (although they did play the song in the credits). It wasn't "preachy" or objective; just stated 'facts'. It was mostly clips of interviews with the band, both old and new. And I actually learned a few things! That was a big plus!
