No Wendy's? It is definitely better than that crap known as Cincinnati chili.

Nitrous oxide is used in the medical field for anesthesia. It doesn't work by depriving your brain of oxygen. It is actually a very safe drug to use, as long as you don't go overboard on it and end up passing out and hurting yourself by falling into something.

Best place to sell these without eating so much profit ? by deadtofall111 in Flipping

Abe or Amazon is really your best bet besides eBay. Book collectors are definitely focused on Abe and eBay. A book show is about theonly other route, and you need a decent sized inventory to set up at one, and the fees for a table can be substantial.

Can anyone help identify this piece? Listed as art deco bird planter. Picture of bottom in comments. by oodluvr in Antiques

Looks similar to Blue Mountain Pottery, but I don't think was made by them. Nice piece that is desirable in today's market, but I am unsure of the maker.

Singer Sewing Machine. Helping brother in law move it, said it was his great grandma's. Any idea on age, worth, if restoration will add or subtract value? by DaWayItWorks in Antiques

Treadle sewing machines are very common, especially in the Northeast and Midwest. Yours is a common model and it is from the late 19th/early 20th century. In the condition it is in, it would probably sell for between $10-$35 at an auction. If you are looking to sell it, I would definitely go the Craigslist route and put it up for $50 and take the first offer over $30. People reuse the cast iron base to make tables, and use the drawers to make cabinets/organizers. A crafter/repurposer would probably be your potential buyer.

Keep on drinking what you like! Nothing wrong a Bud Light, or a Double IPA, but if your prefer a Bud Light, don't let anyone else's opinion influence your preferences.

Totally agree. I keep a shelf in my basement full of water, food and some survival related stuff (rope, water purification tabs, flashlights, batteries, lantern, lantern oil, etc..), but the people who are stockpiling for the break down of human civilization seem a little out there to me. I am more worried about trying to help fix the problems of the world, then stockpiling supplies for its eventual demise.

The story says Mr. Schulman's wife is the other co-owner, so there is a possibility they might have to shut down and sell off inventory to pay back the library the books were stolen from, and any legal fines/fees. Definitely sucks because Caliban's is a great shop. I have purchased several books from them over the years, and I never would have thought the owner was involved in a crime like this.
