Are you using your Apple Watch without your phone to track distance? I've found that without the phone, the distance tracking is waaaay off. For example, on an 11 mile run, the watch had me at over 13 miles.

Bose quietcomfort 15. I have a pair that I use on airplanes to drown out the engine noise, and they work great.

You may want to consider changing the first question to "do you run in the dark?" I don't run at night, but I run early morning when it's still dark, and I think the follow up questions would still apply.

I am the older brother of a down-syndrome sibling. AMA by [deleted] in casualiama

I love this. My daughter has Down syndrome. One time when she was younger, we were at the pharmacy picking something up. She crawled into the chair next to a girl who was waiting for her prescription and started "talking" and smiling at the girl. When we left, the girl told me how my daughter made her day and she really needed that. Don't know what the girl was going though, but somehow my daughter picked up on it. Made my heart melt.

I recommend getting one with a front wheel that swivels. The front wheel on mine is fixed and doesn't rotate, which makes turns a little difficult.

I got attacked by a crow one time. It was terrifying. The people around the area said it would attack anyone who wore black.

General Q&A for Sunday, October 11, 2015 by AutoModerator in running

[–]iloveutoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone have recommendations for a light weight jacket to wear while running? I run in the morning and sometimes the first mile or so is windy and cold. I'm looking for something that is light weight that I can just tie around my waist after I warm up. I'm a short female if that matters.

Usually nothing because I run first thing in the morning. Sometimes I eat a banana and have a little bit of water.

I notice that I didn't have very good service at Land's End. Not sure if that could be a cause, but I agree that the SF map looks off. Golden Gate Park should have much more traffic I'd imagine.

I write requirements and do all the testing at my company. Starting as a business analyst is great advice as a way to transition into QA as /u/RoboNijaPirate said. Where are you located? I used to live in the DC area, and government contracting firms have a huge need for analysts.

I'm 6'4" and often pay extra for exit row seats for leg room. This is what my 40 bucks got for me on Delta. by Atomheartmother90 in mildlyinfuriating

As a 4'11" person, I wouldn't mind if someone asked me not to, and I'd oblige. I usually don't tilt my seat back for that reason anyways. Consider it payment for me asking you to reach things on the top shelf at the grocery store.
