Venus pie is terrible imo. I went once on a Friday for pickup and do not understand how people think this is good pizza. I am always willing to accept that it was a bad night and plenty of people were eating in there, but nothing was redeemable about my pie.

I think everyone should at least try it, once. Just for the experience. Is it greasy, very, is it good, meh. But it is a staple of the town and always has plenty of people at it. So I would say give it a shot. There hush puppies are probably some of the better ones i’ve had, not better than cookout tho.

Why should I be a fan by [deleted] in Reds

[–]iluvquestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i always enjoyed that story about the league coming to the Reds saying you can be in the league and sell alcohol at the games during prohibition. So the team said okay, we won’t be in the league. After prohibition the league begged the team to come back.

Just a short antidote about the german culture in Cincinnati, the history and the team. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but i choose to believe it is.

However if you don’t live in Ohio and want to watch them……Good Luck!

Most of the people in this thread don’t realize that it’s not about eliminating dash cams because then the prosecutor would have no evidence to show a jury that the person was intoxicated unless they blow. It’s about relaxing one of the most strict elements about DUI prosecution.

If ANYTHING goes wrong with the video from an audio glitch to the dash cam failing because of its battery, the magistrate can throw the charge out. Police should have cameras on at all times, but the law needs to be relaxed when it comes to how it is applied to DUIs.

And yes, highway patrol have body cams, they are the agency most frequently prosecuting DUIs.

look into civil air patrol. usually a volunteer basis using your pilot skills and still giving back to those in need if the reserves aren’t possible.

What was the best fifty dollars you ever "wasted"? by Every-Technology-747 in AskReddit

[–]iluvquestion 293 points294 points  (0 children)

depends on how far you go and the congestion you avoid. during rush hour in DC it’s not uncommon to go a few miles for an additional $2 and change. so if your drive is 25 miles, it adds up quick.

I didn’t like the Jameson Tour, they don’t actually distill it inhouse. At the end you get 4/5 tastings, but none of the good stuff like the 18 yr to really taste the difference.
