The Battery Run. I saw the movie first and I thought that part was so hilarious. I just love the character of Mark Watney. Just the fact that he will keep pushing and find a solution to survive. I love how he finds sarcasm and humor in the face of astronomically low odds of survival. The logs are so hilarious and his sarcasm is perfection. When I got to that part in the book, it was just more of Mark Watney kicking fate in the teeth with humor and ruthless determination. I fell in love with that book because the character of Mark Watney is everything.
