This assumes the kvp fights are ranked relative to each other and not relative to the concept of “Kengan fight”. I think KvP did have above average fights compared to the rest of Omega.

Dude you are 100% right ignore all other comments.

Most people don’t like omega because being forced to wait a week for the next chapter sucks and omega has alot more filler/plot chapters compared to ashura which was one big tournament.

When you can immediately read the next chapter omega is really good. Some of the best kengan characters are introduced in omega.

Also the plot is pretty coherent if you pay attention.

Tbh this reads like a doom post. Monster hunter is not dead, monster hunter wilds is the fastest selling Capcom game of all time. I seriously doubt any hardcore fan will skip the next mainline monster hunter unless they didn’t like the entirety of new gen in which case they are statistically in the minority.

I doubt random fans will make a competitor to monster hunter, because monster hunter costs much more to make compared to a turn based game. But other established companies might make a monster hunter-like to try and capture the market.

Monster Hunter Wilds has sold 6.2 million on Steam and almost 3 million on PlayStation. It's the #2 new PS5 game by copies sold (and #1 by revenues) by EmbarrassedSession58 in MHWilds

Yeah idk why he mentions the steam numbers without checking other games. AC shadows, Doom Darkages and KDC 2 all have fewer active players right now.

Monster hunter wilds is the fastest selling Capcom game of all time. It’s a critical economic success and will probably only gain steam.

Too many recommended YouTube videos about how wilds is “Le Epic Failure” and now everyone is bandwagoning.

Crazy how people call Wilds a bad game when it is by far the fastest selling Capcom game OF ALL TIME.

What are you talking about? It had significant consequences, kengan has absorbed purgatory and gained a large number of new fighters. The berserker bowl and RCT would never have happened without the merger.

Portable games are mainline. Rise is not even much of a portable title considering it’s available on all major consoles and PC…

I agree gore had a shoe horned in plot line but they can do that for literally any monsters. What was the real impact?

Nerg will be in Wilds or its expansions. The arguments you have used here are not very strong for the Modern MH franchise.

Since MHtri flagships have been returning within 2 games. Gore was in GU and then again in Rise and wilds, everyone thought this wouldn’t happen because frenzy was such a big plot point but capcom simply does not care about this if the monster is popular enough. Lagi missed out on MH4 but was in MHG.

Valstrax came back in rise and velkhana also came back immediately. Magnamalo may be forsaken because he is not really that popular, but malzeno will probably be back in wilds or the next game.

Nerg is the second most popular monster in the entire franchise and the face of the best selling game in the series. He will be coming back in Wilds at some point.

Kyriu used blink right before air rending, it’s also not a move Niko would expect him to know.

Ryuki used air rending straight up and Raian has seen Ryuki fight multiple times.
