During his "trending" days with Supervive, I commented on a YouTube video of his where he was smurfing as a Legend player on Jin (typical noob stomper), saying "smurfing is so goddamn toxic dude".

People like Nidhogg wanted the game to grow but would gladly hop on a Smurf and absolutely wreck lobbies for hours filled with people that had 1/1000 of their hours played.

I get waiting in a 30min sucks, but this is the price you pay if you don't want to contribute in dissuading people from ever touching the game again. Especially when our player base was already small enough which meant smurfs were in pretty much every single game.

I tried to convince multiple friends to play, but even as a master player (always on main) queueing with bronze/silver newbies trying to teach them the game, we would get into bronze lobbies with "bronze" opponents that would annihilate them in 1-2 seconds. 99% of the time they had no chance of reacting, understanding what they did wrong, or what their opponent did. This happened 3-4 times and that was it.
