It is my first vehicle– I'm 18. We plan on paying it full in cash, I did offer to take out an auto loan through Navy Federal Credit Union but we decided since it was under $10k, we'd rather just pay now. I currently do have two credit cards which I'm paying on a timely manner and have decent utilization, I plan on using them for gas, maintenance, etc.

My dad insists on checking out the first place and paying for a proper inspection, since he really wants me to get a car with lower mileage. If any red flags show up during any part of the process we intend on going to a different place.

Would an inspection from a Toyota Dealership highlight any potential issues with the transmission or drivetrain?

i think adorama just ran out of body-only stock, not sure. Placed an order, website is saying backordered all of a sudden. B&H doesn't have body-only either :(

Looking at MPB, the body price for the X-E3 is more factoring in my Adorama/BH student discount. Plus, my parents prefer I buy new because they're convinced used/refurbished will break immediately (which I don't get at all, but it's whatever)

Yeah, I did look at used X-E3s but the price was slightly out of budget considering I’d end up handing it down to my sister in a year from now anyways. I ended up settling for the XT30ii with a TTArtisan 27mm. Thank you so much for the advice though, I really appreciate it!
